The PROfezzion PR-UN1 system consists of three main components: a transmitter, a receiver, and a connecting cable. Both the transmitter and receiver are powered by AAA batteries.

Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation

Both the transmitter and receiver require two AAA batteries each. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) during installation. Incorrect battery installation will prevent the remote control from functioning.

2. Channel Setting

To avoid interference from other wireless devices, the PR-UN1 offers 16 channels. Set the transmitter and receiver to the same channel using the channel setting switches located inside their battery compartments. This ensures proper communication between the units.

3. Connecting to Camera

Mount the receiver onto your camera's hot shoe. Connect the receiver to your camera's remote control port using the provided connecting cable. Ensure the connection is secure.

4. Power On and Pairing

Turn on both the transmitter and the receiver using their respective power switches. Press the shutter button on the transmitter; both indicator lights should illuminate, confirming successful pairing.

Operating Modes

The PROfezzion PR-UN1 offers five distinct shooting modes, selectable via the mode dial on the transmitter. Ensure your camera is set to the appropriate shooting mode (e.g., single shot, continuous, manual) to match the remote control's function.

1. Single Shot Mode

Set the transmitter's mode dial to the single shot icon. Set your camera to single shot mode. Half-press the transmitter's shutter button to focus, then fully press to take a single photo.

2. 5 Seconds Delay Shot Mode

Set the transmitter's mode dial to the 5-second delay icon. Set your camera to single shot mode. Fully press the transmitter's shutter button to initiate a 5-second countdown before the photo is taken.

3. 3 Continuous Shots Mode

Set the transmitter's mode dial to the 3 continuous shots icon. Set your camera to single shot mode. Fully press the transmitter's shutter button to take three photos continuously.

4. Unlimited Continuous Shots Mode

Set the transmitter's mode dial to the unlimited continuous shots icon. Set your camera to continuous shot mode. Half-press the button to focus. Fully press and hold the button until the indicator lamp turns OFF to lock the shutter for unlimited continuous shots. Press the button again to end the shooting.

5. Bulb Shot Mode

Set the transmitter's mode dial to the bulb shot icon. Set your camera to manual mode (M) and adjust the shutter speed to BULB. Half-press the button to focus. Fully press and hold the button until the indicator lamp turns OFF to lock the shutter for bulb shot. Press the button again to end the shooting.

Additional Functions

Wireless or Wired Operation

The PR-UN1 can be used as a wireless remote control or, if preferred, the receiver itself can act as a wired cable switch when directly connected to the camera without the transmitter.

Triggering Multiple Receivers

A single PR-UN1 transmitter can trigger multiple PR-UN1 receivers simultaneously, provided all units are set to the same channel. This is useful for multi-camera setups.

Removable Clip

The receiver includes a removable clip, allowing it to be attached to a tripod leg or other suitable surfaces. The clip is compatible with thicknesses approximately 10mm to 25mm (0.39" to 0.98").

Troubleshooting

Remote Control Not Responding:

  • Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
  • Match Channels: Verify that both the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel.
  • Power On: Confirm both units are powered on.
  • Camera Connection: Ensure the receiver is securely connected to the camera's remote port.

Signal Interruption:
