3. Setup

- Assemble the window panel kit according to the instructions provided in the separate installation guide. The kit is adjustable to fit window openings from 20 to 46 inches wide, with a minimum height requirement of 4.8 inches for the exhaust hose connection.
- Secure the window panel kit in your window opening, ensuring a tight seal to prevent air leakage.
- Connect the exhaust hose to the back of the portable air conditioner and then to the opening in the window panel kit. Ensure both connections are secure to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

4. Operating Instructions
The GE Portable Air Conditioner features intuitive digital controls on the top panel and comes with a remote control for convenient operation.
4.1 Control Panel Overview

- Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF. The top flap will automatically open/close upon power activation/deactivation.
- Mode Button: Cycle through operating modes:
- Cool: Provides air conditioning.
- Fan: Operates as a fan only, circulating air without cooling.
- Dry: Functions as a dehumidifier, removing moisture from the air.
- Temperature/Time Buttons (+/-): Adjust the desired temperature in Cool mode or set the timer duration.
- Fan Speed Button: Select fan speed: Low, Medium, or High.
- Timer Button: Set the unit to turn ON or OFF automatically after a set period (up to 24 hours).

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your portable air conditioner.
5.1 Cleaning the Washable Filter
The unit features a removable and washable air filter located at the back of the unit. It is recommended to clean the filter every 1 to 3 months, depending on usage and air quality, to prevent dust and debris buildup.
- Turn off and unplug the air conditioner before attempting any maintenance.
- Locate the filter cover on the back of the unit. Gently open or slide out the cover to access the filter.
- Remove the filter from its housing.
- Wash the filter under running water (warm, not hot) or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust. For heavy dirt, a mild detergent can be used.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
- Replace the filter and close the cover securely.

5.2 Unit Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
