1.1 General Safety Precautions

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the cooktop is connected to a properly grounded electrical supply as specified in the installation section. Do not use extension cords or adapters. Disconnect power before servicing.
  • Hot Surface Warning: The ceramic glass surface and cooking zones will become hot during and after use. Allow sufficient time for the cooktop to cool before cleaning or touching. Use oven mitts when handling hot cookware.
  • Child Safety: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Keep children away from the cooktop during operation and cooling. Utilize the child safety lock feature.
  • Proper Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the cooktop during installation and operation to prevent overheating.
  • Cookware: Use only flat-bottomed cookware that is suitable for electric cooktops. Avoid placing unstable or oversized pots that could tip over.

3. Installation Instructions

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your cooktop. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified electrician or technician.

3.1 Pre-Installation Checks

  • Verify that the electrical supply meets the cooktop's requirements (220-240V).
  • Ensure the countertop material can withstand heat.
  • Confirm sufficient clearance around the cooktop for ventilation.

3.2 Cutout Dimensions

The required cutout dimensions for installation are approximately 30.3 inches (770mm) in width by 20.5 inches (520mm) in depth. The cooktop height is 2.1 inches (52mm), with a built-in depth of 1.88 inches (48mm).

3.3 Electrical Connection

The cooktop requires a dedicated 220-240V electrical circuit. Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

3.4 Securing the Cooktop

After placing the cooktop into the cutout, use the provided installation fixing brackets to secure it firmly to the countertop. This prevents movement during use.

4. Operating Instructions

The Weceleh Electric Cooktop features intuitive touch controls for easy operation.

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on: Touch the ON/OFF symbol. The display will show '00' or 'L' (for locked).
  • To turn off: Touch the ON/OFF symbol again.

4.2 Selecting a Cooking Zone and Adjusting Power

  • After powering on, select the desired cooking zone by touching its corresponding zone selection control. The display for that zone will flash.
  • Use the '+' and '-' symbols to adjust the power level from 1 to 9. Level 9 is the highest setting.
  • For the dual-ring zone, touch the dual zone control to activate the inner or outer ring as needed.

4.3 Using the Timer

  • To set the timer, touch the Timer control. The timer display will flash.
  • Use the '+' and '-' symbols to set the desired time from 1 to 99 minutes.
  • The timer will count down and automatically turn off the selected cooking zone when the time expires.

4.4 Child Safety Lock

  • To activate: Touch and hold the Key Lock symbol for a few seconds. The display will show 'L' indicating the controls are locked.
  • To deactivate: Touch and hold the Key Lock symbol again until 'L' disappears.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Weceleh Electric Cooktop.

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Always ensure the cooktop is cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap.
  • Rinse with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly with a soft, clean towel to prevent water spots.

5.2 Cleaning Spills and Stubborn Stains

  • For burnt-on food or stubborn stains, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and a non-abrasive cleaning pad. Follow the cleaner manufacturer's instructions.
  • Avoid using abrasive sponges, steel wool, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or damage the glass surface.
  • Do not use sharp objects to scrape off food residue, as this can also damage the surface.

5.3 General Care

  • Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects on the cooktop surface, as this can cause cracks or breaks.
  • Do not slide rough-bottomed cookware across the surface, as this may cause scratches.
  • Periodically check the electrical connections for any signs of wear or damage.

6. Troubleshooting Guide
