1. Introduction

The Halco RDL6-14-CS-BT is a 6-inch, 14-watt CCT selectable LED downlight retrofit designed for easy installation into existing recessed housings. This product offers five selectable color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K) to suit various lighting preferences and applications. It features a high CRI of 90+ for accurate color rendering and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor wet locations.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before installing or operating this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards that could cause personal injury or property damage.

• WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installation or servicing.

4. Setup and Installation

This retrofit downlight is designed for installation into existing 6-inch recessed housings. Ensure the power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding.

4.1. Preparation

1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box to the recessed fixture you are modifying.
2. Remove the existing bulb and trim from the recessed housing.
3. Inspect the existing recessed housing for any damage or loose wiring. Ensure it is clean and free of debris.

4.2. CCT Selection

Before installation, select your desired color temperature using the CCT selectable dipswitch located on the driver housing of the fixture. The available options are 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K.

Note: It is recommended to select the CCT before installation, as it may be difficult to access the switch once the fixture is installed.

4.3. Installation Steps

1. Screw the E26 base adapter into the existing socket of the recessed housing.
2. Connect the male connector from the downlight fixture to the female connector of the E26 base adapter. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Carefully push the wiring and connectors into the recessed housing.
4. Align the downlight fixture with the recessed housing. Gently push the fixture upwards until the spring clips engage and hold the fixture securely in place.
5. Ensure the fixture is flush with the ceiling surface.
6. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and power is restored, the Halco RDL6-14-CS-BT LED downlight operates like a standard light fixture.

• Turning On/Off: Use the standard wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the light on or off.
• Dimming: This fixture is dimmable. For optimal performance, use with compatible 0-10V dimmers. Refer to your dimmer's instructions for proper operation.
• Color Temperature: The color temperature is set via the dipswitch on the driver housing during installation. It cannot be changed during normal operation without accessing the fixture.

6. Maintenance

The Halco RDL6-14-CS-BT LED downlight is designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. No user-serviceable parts are inside.

• Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Lamp Replacement: The LED light source is integrated and not replaceable. The entire fixture should be replaced at the end of its lifespan.
