3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Speaker Placement: Position the two speakers on either side of the main control unit for optimal stereo sound. Ensure adequate space for ventilation.
  3. Speaker Connection: Connect the speaker wires from each speaker to the corresponding speaker terminals on the rear of the control unit. Observe correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  4. Antenna Connection: Connect the supplied antenna to the FM/DAB+ antenna input on the rear of the control unit. Extend the antenna for better reception.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the control unit, then plug the other end into a wall outlet.
  6. Initial Power On: Press the power button on the unit or remote control to turn on the system. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection or network configuration.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP)

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the unit until "Bluetooth" is selected.
  2. On your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Kenwood M-7000S-B" from the list of devices.

4.2. CD Playback

  3. For FM radio, use the tuning controls to manually tune to a station or perform an auto-scan. RDS (Radio Data System) information will be displayed if available.
  4. Save your favorite stations as presets using the preset buttons on the remote control.

4.5. Internet Radio via Wi-Fi

  1. Ensure the system is connected to your Wi-Fi network (refer to the initial setup or network settings menu).
  2. Press the SOURCE button to select "Internet Radio".
  3. Navigate through the Internet Radio menu to browse stations by genre, location, or search for specific stations.

4.6. Spotify Connect

  1. Ensure the system is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Spotify app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
  3. Play a song and select the "Devices Available" icon.
  4. Choose "Kenwood M-7000S-B" from the list to stream Spotify audio directly to the system.

4.7. Clock with Alarm and Timer Function

  • Setting the Clock: Access the system settings menu to set the current time.
  • Setting an Alarm: Use the alarm function in the settings menu to set a wake-up time and select an alarm source (e.g., radio, CD).
  • Setting a Sleep Timer: Activate the sleep timer function to automatically turn off the system after a set period.
