Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wipe the main unit with a clean, damp cloth. Wash the removable grill plates and drip tray in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Assemble: Ensure the drip tray is correctly inserted into its slot at the bottom of the unit. Place the lower and upper grill plates securely onto their respective heating elements.
  4. Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper ventilation.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet. The digital display will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

  1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the grill. The default temperature and time settings will appear on the digital display.
  2. Adjust Settings: Use the Temperature Up/Down arrows to set your desired cooking temperature. Use the Time Up/Down arrows to set the cooking duration.
  3. Preheat: Allow the grill to preheat until it reaches the set temperature. The indicator light will change or the display will confirm readiness.
  4. Place Food: Carefully place your food onto the lower grill plate. Close the lid for contact grilling or leave open for open grilling.
  5. Smokeless Fan: Press the FAN button to activate the smoke-extracting fan. It is recommended to use the fan during all cooking operations to minimize smoke.
  6. Cooking: Cook food until desired doneness is achieved. The floating hinge allows the top plate to adjust to various food thicknesses.
  7. Power Off: Once cooking is complete, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the grill. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

3-in-1 Functionality

  • Contact Grill: Ideal for burgers, chicken, and vegetables. Close the lid to cook both sides simultaneously.
  • Panini Press: Perfect for sandwiches, paninis, and quesadillas. The floating hinge ensures even pressure and browning.
  • Open Grill: Lay the grill flat to use both plates as an open grilling surface, suitable for larger quantities or different types of food. Consult the manual for specific instructions on how to open the grill fully.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your grill.

  1. Always Unplug: Ensure the grill is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning.
  2. Remove Parts: Carefully remove the grill plates and drip tray.
  3. Dishwasher Safe: The removable grill plates and drip tray are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. For best results, place them on the top rack.
  4. Hand Washing: If hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling or storing.
  5. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  6. Stubborn Residue: For stubborn food residue on the grill plates, soak them in warm, soapy water for a few minutes before cleaning. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the non-stick coating.
  7. Storage: Once clean and dry, reassemble the grill and store it in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
