It effectively eliminates all types of pool algae, reduces chemical demand, and improves overall water quality for up to 6 months. The unit is suitable for pools ranging from 7,500 to 20,000 gallons and is compatible with Chlorine, Salt, UV, or Ozone pool systems.

The PoolRX+ unit utilizes a proprietary chelation process where its minerals bond to metals at a molecular level. This prevents metals from oxidizing and plating onto the pool surface, ensuring effective algae elimination without staining. 3. Choosing the Correct Unit Size

Select the appropriate PoolRX+ unit based on your pool's total gallon capacity. This unit is designed for pools between 7,500 and 20,000 gallons.

4. Installation Guide

For best results, ensure your filter is clean before installation. Do not backwash or clean the filter for at least two weeks after adding PoolRX+ to allow minerals to fully circulate.

Pre-Installation Steps:

1. Test the water for metals like copper or iron. If levels are above 0.2 ppm, refer to the QR code on the product packaging for instructions on how to remove them.
2. Choose the right PoolRX+ product based on your pool or spa total gallons of water.
3. Start with a clean filter.
4. Set your type of filter correctly (refer to specific filter settings below).
5. Check that pH is between 7.2 and 7.8.
6. Check that chlorine level is below 10.0 ppm.

Recommended Filter Settings:

• Sand Filter:
  1. Backwash and rinse filter until it's clean.
  2. Switch the gear from "Filter" to "Bypass / Re-Circulate".
  3. Add the unit in the skimmer or pump basket.
  4. Let the pool run for a full cycle of 12 hours.
  5. Place the gear back to "Filter" after 12 hours of run cycle.
• DE Filter:
  1. Clean filter completely.
  2. Add minimum required amount of DE. Do not overpack filter, so that minerals don't get caught in the filter.
  3. Place the unit in the skimmer.
  4. Run the pool for 6-12 hours or full run cycle.
• Cartridge Filter:
  1. Remove the cartridge from the filter housing and clean it.
  2. Place the unit in the skimmer or pump basket.
  3. Run the pool for 6-12 hours or full run cycle.
  4. Place the cartridges back into the filter after 6-12 hours or full run cycle.

Placement:

Place the unit in the skimmer (if there is good water flow) or pump basket.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the PoolRX+ minerals will completely dissolve into the water within 3-4 hours. Keep the unit in the pool even after minerals are dissolved. The unit rejuvenates the minerals as they pass back through it. Run the pump for 6-8 hours daily to ensure proper circulation and mineral distribution.

6. Maintenance

Post-Installation (Ongoing Maintenance):

• Maintain a clean filter at all times to capture dead algae.
• Maintain a chlorine level of 0.5 to 1.0 ppm with PoolRX+ products.
• If the pool is green or cloudy, maintain a chlorine level of 2.0 ppm until it clears.
• Do not shock unnecessarily, even if the chlorine level is low.
• Maintain the water pH between 7.2 to 7.8.

Booster & Unit Replacement:

We recommend adding a PoolRX+ booster after 6 months, or if algae reappears sooner. For year-round pool use, replace the entire PoolRX+ unit every 12 months.

Salt Pools:

Copper Levels with PoolRX+:

It is normal for copper levels to rise with PoolRX+ products. The minerals' proprietary chelation process bonds to metals at a molecular level, making PoolRX+ products more effective against algae while reducing the need for high chlorine levels (0.5 to 1.0 ppm chlorine when the water is clear). Some testing methods may recommend a stain control product or draining the pool, but these methods do not consider the chelation process that bonds the PoolRX minerals to the metals. Adding stain control products is not necessary for PoolRX+ products.

Other Chemicals:

Do not add other algaecides or phosphate removers. PoolRX+ products are not compatible for use with bromine or biguanides products.
