1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the beFree Sound 5.1 Channel Bluetooth Surround Sound Speaker System. This system is designed to enhance your home entertainment experience with rich, immersive audio. It offers versatile connectivity options, including Bluetooth, USB, SD card, FM radio, and various audio inputs, allowing you to connect to a wide range of devices such as TVs, DVD players, gaming consoles, MP3 players, and computers.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your speaker system to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Please read it thoroughly before using the product.

2. Package Contents

Please check the package carefully to ensure all items are present and in good condition:

• One (1) 5.25" Amplifier (Subwoofer Unit)
• Five (5) 3" Satellite Speakers
• One (1) Remote Control (requires 2 AAA batteries, not included)
• One (1) Audio Cable
• One (1) FM Antenna
• Three (3) DVD Connection Cables

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Speaker Placement

For optimal surround sound experience, position the speakers as follows:

• Subwoofer: Place the subwoofer on the floor, preferably near the front of your listening area.
• Front Left & Right Speakers: Position these speakers on either side of your TV or main listening area, facing towards you.
• Center Speaker: Place the center speaker directly above or below your TV, centered with the screen.
• Surround Left & Right Speakers: Position these speakers to the sides or slightly behind your main listening position, at ear level if possible.

3.2 Connecting the Speakers

Connect the satellite speakers to the corresponding output jacks on the rear panel of the subwoofer unit. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black) for each speaker.

3.3 Connecting Audio Sources

The system supports multiple audio input options:

• AUX Audio Input: Use the included audio cable to connect devices like smartphones, tablets, or MP3 players to the 'AUX AUDIO INPUT' (FL/FR) jacks.
• DVD Audio Input: Use the included DVD connection cables to connect a DVD player or other compatible devices to the 'DVD AUDIO INPUT' (FL/FR, CEN, SL/SR) jacks for 5.1 channel audio.
• FM Antenna: Connect the FM antenna to the 'FM ANT' jack for radio reception. Extend the antenna for better signal.
• USB/SD Card: Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slots on the front panel for direct media playback.

3.4 Power Connection

Connect the power cord from the subwoofer unit to a standard AC power outlet (110V/60Hz). Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the 'OFF' position before connecting.

3.5 Remote Control Setup

Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

• To power on the system, flip the power switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The front display will illuminate.
• To power off, flip the power switch to the 'OFF' position.

4.2 Input Selection

Press the 'INPUT SET' button on the front panel or the corresponding input buttons (SD, USB, FM, AUX, BT, DVD) on the remote control to switch between audio sources.

4.3 Volume Control

• Rotate the 'MASTER VOLUME' knob on the front panel to adjust the overall volume.
• Use the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons on the remote control for volume adjustment.
• Individual speaker volume can be adjusted using the dedicated buttons on the remote (FL+, FL-, FR+, FR-, CEN+, CEN-, SW+, SW-, SL+, SL-, SR+, SR-).

4.4 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Select 'BT' input mode on the system. The display will show 'BT' and the system will enter pairing mode.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for available Bluetooth devices.
3. Select 'beFree Sound' from the list. Once paired, the system will indicate a successful connection.

4.5 FM Radio Operation

• Select 'FM' input mode.
• Press 'AUTO' on the remote to automatically scan and save available radio stations.
• Use 'TUNE+' and 'TUNE-' buttons to manually tune or navigate through saved stations.

4.6 USB/SD Card Playback

• Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slot on the front panel.
• The system will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playing compatible audio files.
• Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) on the remote control.

5. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and performance of your speaker system.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the speakers and subwoofer. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive chemicals, as they may damage the finish.
• Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the subwoofer unit to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
