Please read this entire manual carefully before using your ARTOLF IPL Hair Removal Device. Keep this manual for future reference. Improper use may result in injury or device malfunction.
1.1 General Precautions
- Always wear the provided protective eyewear during treatment to shield your eyes from the intense pulsed light.
- Do not use the device on tattooed areas, moles, freckles, or dark spots.
- Avoid direct exposure to the sun or tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before and after treatment.
- Consult a physician before use if you have any pre-existing skin conditions, are pregnant, or breastfeeding.
1.2 Skin and Hair Type Suitability
The ARTOLF IPL device is most effective on lighter skin tones with darker hair. It is not suitable for very dark skin tones or very light (blonde, red, grey, white) hair, as the IPL technology targets melanin in the hair follicle.

Figure 1.1: This chart illustrates the suitable skin colors and hair colors for effective and safe use of the IPL hair removal device. The device works best on lighter skin tones and darker hair, as it targets the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. It is not recommended for very dark skin or very light hair colors like blonde, red, grey, or white.

The device features a high flash count, multiple energy levels, and two operating modes for customized treatment.
3.1 Key Features
- High Flash Count: Upgraded to 999,900 flashes for long-term use.
- 5 Energy Levels: Adjustable intensity for different skin sensitivities and treatment areas.
- Auto & Manual Modes: Auto mode for large areas, Manual mode for precise treatment on smaller areas.
- Painless Treatment: Designed for comfortable hair removal.
- Versatile Use: Suitable for face, armpits, legs, arms, and bikini line.
4. Setup and Preparation

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the display lights up.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
5.2 Adjusting Energy Levels
The device has 5 energy levels. Level 1 is recommended for first-time users to assess skin sensitivity. You can increase the level gradually as your skin adapts.
- Press the power button briefly to cycle through the energy levels (1 to 5).
- Select the appropriate level based on your comfort and skin reaction.

Figure 5.1: This diagram illustrates the five adjustable energy levels of the IPL device. It highlights that Level 1 is recommended for initial use, allowing users to gradually increase intensity as their skin adapts to the treatment.
5.3 Operating Modes (Auto/Manual)
The device offers two modes for different treatment areas:
- Auto Mode: Ideal for large areas like legs, arms, back, and stomach. To activate, hold the flash button for 3 seconds until the word 'AUTO' appears on the display. The device will automatically flash when in full contact with the skin, allowing for continuous gliding.
- Manual Mode: Suitable for small, precise areas like armpits, bikini line, lips, and face. To activate, hold the flash button for 3 seconds again until 'AUTO' disappears. In this mode, you must press the flash button for each individual flash.

Figure 5.2: This image differentiates between the Auto Mode and Manual Mode of the IPL device. Auto Mode is shown being used on a leg for large area coverage, while Manual Mode is demonstrated for precise application on the face. Instructions for activating each mode are provided.
5.4 Application
Place the flash window of the device firmly against your skin at a 90-degree angle. Press the flash button (in Manual Mode) or glide the device (in Auto Mode) over the treatment area. Ensure full contact with the skin for each flash.
5.5 Post-Treatment Care
After treatment, you may apply a soothing lotion or moisturizer to the treated area. Avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen if going outdoors.
5.6 Treatment Schedule and Results
For optimal results, follow a consistent treatment schedule. Typically, initial results may be seen after 2-4 weeks, with significant hair reduction after 8-12 weeks of regular use. Hair growth will become thinner and less dense over time, leading to permanent smooth skin.

Figure 5.3: This visual guide demonstrates the expected progression of hair reduction over an 8-week period of consistent IPL treatment. It shows the transition from original hair to new hair loss, then thinner hair, and finally permanent smooth skin.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ARTOLF IPL device, follow these maintenance guidelines:
