3. Setup and Preparation

3.1. Hydrating Gel Balls

The SplatRball gel balls are supplied in a dehydrated state and must be soaked in water before use. This process allows them to expand to their full size (7.5mm diameter) and become soft and ready for firing.

  1. Empty the desired amount of dehydrated gel balls into a large container.
  2. Add a generous amount of clean water to fully submerge the gel balls.
  3. Allow the gel balls to soak for a minimum of 4 hours. For best results, soak overnight (up to 8 hours).
  4. Once fully hydrated, the gel balls will be soft and squishy. Drain any excess water before loading.

  1. Connect the battery to the provided USB charging cable.
  2. Plug the USB charging cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator light on the cable will show the charging status (refer to cable instructions for specific light indications).
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.

3.3. Assembling the Blaster

Attach the magazine and sling to the blaster as follows:

  1. Insert the charged battery into the designated battery compartment on the blaster (refer to the blaster's markings for location).
  2. Align the magazine with the magazine well and push firmly until it clicks into place.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your SplatRball blaster.

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially if the blaster has been exposed to dirt or debris, wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the blaster in water.
  • Gel Ball Storage: Store hydrated gel balls in a sealed container, submerged in water, to prevent them from dehydrating. They can be rehydrated if they shrink.
  • Battery Care: When not in use for extended periods, store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery.
  • Clearing Jams: If the blaster jams, ensure the safety switch is on 'X' (Safe), remove the magazine, and gently clear any obstructions from the feeding mechanism. Do not force anything into the barrel.
