6. Setup Guide
6.1. App Installation
- Download the SmartLife app from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Search for "SmartLife".
- Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
6.2. Device Pairing
Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This device does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Plug the UseeLink Smart Power Strip into a standard AC outlet. The blue indicator light around the power button will illuminate.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the power button on the power strip for approximately 5-10 seconds until the blue indicator light begins to flash rapidly. This indicates the device is in pairing mode.
- Open the SmartLife app on your smartphone.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
- The app may automatically detect the power strip. If not, select "Power Strip" or "Electrical Outlet" from the device list.
- Confirm that the indicator light is flashing rapidly.
- Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password when prompted.
- The app will begin connecting to the device. Once connected, the indicator light on the power strip will stop flashing and remain solid blue.
- You can now rename the power strip and its individual outlets within the app for easier identification.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Manual Control
Press the main power button on the power strip to manually turn all connected AC outlets and USB ports on or off simultaneously.
7.2. App Control (Remote Control)
Open the SmartLife app. From the main screen, select your UseeLink Smart Power Strip. You will see controls for each individual AC outlet and a single control for all USB ports. Tap the respective icons to toggle power on or off for each outlet or the USB bank.

7.3. Voice Control (Alexa/Google Assistant)
To enable voice control, link your SmartLife account to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant through their respective apps. Once linked, you can use voice commands such as:
- "Alexa, turn on [Outlet Name]"
- "Hey Google, turn off [Outlet Name]"
- "Alexa, turn on the USB ports"

7.4. Scheduling and Timers
Within the SmartLife app, you can set up schedules and timers for each individual AC outlet and the USB ports. This allows you to automate when devices turn on or off, helping to conserve energy.
- In the SmartLife app, select your power strip.
- Navigate to the "Schedule" or "Timer" section.
- Add a new schedule, specifying the time, days of the week, and which outlet(s) or USB ports to control (on/off).

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays.
- Storage: Store the power strip in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and the power strip for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact support.
