7. Operating the Charger

The 12V 4Amp charger is an automatic charger and maintainer. Once connected, it will assess the battery's state of charge and begin charging. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will switch to a maintenance mode to prevent overcharging.

  • Allow the charger to operate until the battery is fully charged. This may take several hours depending on the battery's discharge level.
  • For long-term storage, the charger can remain connected to maintain the battery's charge.
  • Always disconnect the AC power from the charger before disconnecting the alligator clips from the battery terminals.

8. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your Mighty Max battery:

  • Regular Charging: If the battery is not in regular use, charge it periodically (e.g., once a month) to prevent deep discharge. The included charger can be used as a maintainer.
  • Terminal Cleaning: Keep battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Use a wire brush if necessary.
  • Storage: Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure it is fully charged before storage.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the battery for any signs of damage, cracks, or leaks.
