  • Read all instructions before using this heated blanket.
  • Do not use with an infant, child, incapacitated person, or anyone insensitive to heat.
  • Do not use if the outer fabric is damaged or torn.
  • Never use pins or other metallic objects with this blanket. They may damage the wiring.
  • Do not use if wet.
  • Always unplug the blanket when not in use.

  • This blanket is equipped with an overheat protection system for your safety. It is ETL and FCC certified.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heated blanket from its packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check the blanket and the control unit for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Connect Controller: Locate the connector on the blanket and firmly plug in the control unit. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Power On: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Westinghouse Heated Throw Blanket features a user-friendly controller with multiple heat levels and timer settings.

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the power button on the controller to turn the blanket on or off.

4.2 Heat Settings

  • The blanket offers 6 heat levels. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the heat intensity to your preference.
  • The current heat level will be displayed on the digital screen.

4.3 Timer Settings

  • The blanket includes a timer function for automatic shut-off. Available settings are 2, 4, 8, and 10 hours.
  • Press the 'TIME' button to cycle through the available timer options. The selected time will be displayed.
  • The blanket will automatically turn off after the set time has elapsed. This feature is designed to complement manual shut-off.

4.4 Fabric and Comfort

The blanket features a dual-sided design with ultra-soft flannel on one side and cozy sherpa fleece on the other, providing warmth and excellent insulation.

5. Care and Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning Instructions

  1. Disconnect: Always turn off and unplug the blanket from the wall outlet.
  2. Detach Controller: Carefully detach the control unit from the blanket.
  3. Machine Wash: The blanket is machine washable. Use a cold wash cycle.
  4. Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Do not iron or dry-clean.

6. Troubleshooting

If your heated blanket is not operating correctly, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

  • Blanket not heating: Ensure the control unit is securely connected to the blanket and the power cord is firmly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the auto shut-off timer has expired.
  • Controller display not working: Unplug the blanket from the wall outlet for a few minutes, then plug it back in. If the issue persists, ensure all connections are secure.
  • Uneven heating: The blanket is designed for even heat distribution. If you experience uneven heating, ensure the blanket is laid flat and not bunched up.
  • Overheat protection activated: If the blanket feels excessively hot or shuts off unexpectedly, the overheat protection system may have activated. Unplug the blanket and allow it to cool down before attempting to use it again.
