Periodically format the SD card using the camera's menu to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files to a computer before formatting. If the camera fails to recognize the SD card, try reformatting it or using a different card.
3. Cleaning and Storage
To ensure clear images and proper function, keep the camera lens and PIR sensors clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and dirt. For stubborn smudges, a lens cleaning solution can be used sparingly. When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the camera in a cool, dry place.
The camera has an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating, making it suitable for various outdoor conditions. However, avoid submerging the camera in water.
