Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your tattoo equipment:

  • Cleaning: After each use, thoroughly clean the exterior of the tattoo pen and power supply with a suitable disinfectant wipe. Ensure no ink or bodily fluids remain.
  • Needle Disposal: Always dispose of used cartridge needles in a designated sharps container immediately after use. Never reuse needles.
  • Sterilization: While cartridge needles are pre-sterilized and disposable, ensure any reusable components that come into contact with skin or ink are properly sterilized according to industry standards.
  • Storage: Store the tattoo machine and all components in the provided aluminum alloy box in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment when not in use.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check the moving parts of the rotary pen for smooth operation. Consult a professional if lubrication is required, or refer to specific instructions for your pen model if available.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your STIGMA Tattoo Machine Kit, consider the following:

  • Machine Not Turning On:
    • Check all cable connections (power supply to outlet, foot pedal to power supply, pen to power supply).
    • Ensure the power supply is switched on.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • Needle Not Moving/Weak Operation:
    • Check the voltage setting on the digital power supply; increase if too low.
    • Ensure the cartridge needle is correctly and securely inserted into the pen.
    • Inspect the needle for any damage or bending. Replace if necessary.
    • Confirm the foot pedal is fully depressed and functioning.
  • Excessive Vibration or Noise:
    • Verify the cartridge needle is properly seated.
    • Check for any loose components on the tattoo pen.
    • Ensure the operating voltage is within the recommended range (9V-11V).
  • Ink Leakage:
    • Ensure the cartridge needle is not damaged and is properly sealed.
