Setup and Assembly
The Juskys Basic shelving units feature a practical boltless plug-in system, allowing for quick and easy assembly without the need for drilling or screws. A rubber mallet (not included) may be helpful to secure connections.
- Prepare the Components: Unpack all parts and lay them out. Identify the uprights, crossbars, and MDF shelves.
- Assemble the Frame: Begin by connecting the uprights with the shorter crossbars to form the base frame. Ensure the tabs on the crossbars align with the slots on the uprights. Gently tap with a rubber mallet to secure.
- Install Lower Shelves: Once the base frame is stable, insert the first MDF shelf. This adds rigidity to the structure.
- Build Upwards: Continue adding upright sections and crossbars, securing them with a mallet. Insert MDF shelves as you go, or after the frame is complete.
- Adjust Shelf Height: The shelves can be adjusted to your desired height by repositioning the crossbars in the upright slots. Ensure all four crossbars for a single shelf are at the same height.
- Attach Plastic Feet: Place the plastic protective feet onto the bottom of the uprights to protect your floor from scratches.
- Multiple Configurations: Each shelving unit can be assembled as a tall, single unit (180 cm high) or as two half-height units (e.g., 90 cm high) that can be used as workbenches or separate storage.

Operating Instructions
- Loading: Place items on the shelves, ensuring weight is distributed evenly. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area.
- Weight Capacity: Each MDF shelf can hold up to 175 kg (385 lbs) when the weight is evenly distributed. The total capacity for the set of two units is 1750 kg (3858 lbs).
- Stability: For maximum stability, place heavier items on lower shelves.
- Adjusting Shelves: To adjust shelf height, carefully unload the shelf, detach the crossbars, reposition them in the desired slots, and re-secure. Ensure all four crossbars for a shelf are at the same level.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame and MDF shelves with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain secure. Re-tap with a rubber mallet if any connections feel loose.
- Environment: While the metal frame is galvanized, prolonged exposure to high humidity or moisture can affect the MDF shelves. Store in a dry environment.
Troubleshooting
- Shelf is unstable: Ensure all crossbars are fully seated in the upright slots. Use a rubber mallet to tap connections firmly. Verify the unit is on a level surface.
- Difficulty assembling: Ensure components are correctly oriented. The boltless system requires firm tapping with a rubber mallet to fully engage the tabs into the slots.
- MDF shelves bowing: This indicates overloading. Reduce the weight on the shelf and ensure weight is evenly distributed.
