3. Setup and Installation

  1. Verify Compatibility: Ensure your device requires a NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C5 power cord and operates within the cord's specifications (10A, 125V).
  2. Power Off Device: Before connecting, ensure the electronic device is powered off and unplugged from its current power source, if applicable.
  3. Connect to Wall Outlet: Insert the NEMA 5-15P (3-prong) plug into a standard, grounded 125V AC wall outlet.
  4. Connect to Device: Insert the IEC 60320 C5 (clover-leaf) connector firmly into the corresponding C6 power inlet on your electronic device.
  5. Secure Connection: Ensure both ends of the power cord are fully seated to prevent intermittent power supply.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the power cord is securely connected to both the power source and your electronic device, you may power on your device as usual. The power cord facilitates the transfer of electrical power to your device. No further operational steps are required for the power cord itself.

Important: Always handle the power cord by the plugs, not by the cable itself, when connecting or disconnecting.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep Clean and Dry: Regularly wipe the cord with a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
  • Avoid Physical Stress: Do not bend the cord sharply, crimp it, or place heavy objects on it. This can damage the internal wiring.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the entire length of the cord, including the plugs, for any signs of wear, cuts, fraying, or discoloration.
  • Proper Storage: When not in use, coil the cord loosely. Avoid tight coiling or knotting.

If any damage is observed, discontinue use immediately and replace the cord.

6. Troubleshooting

If your device is not receiving power after connecting the KUNCAN power cord, consider the following:

  • Check Connections: Ensure both the NEMA 5-15P plug and the IEC 60320 C5 connector are fully and securely inserted into their respective ports.
  • Verify Power Outlet: Test the wall outlet with another known working device or appliance to confirm it is supplying power.
  • Device Power Switch: Confirm that your electronic device's power switch is in the 'On' position.
  • Inspect Cord for Damage: Visually inspect the power cord for any visible damage such as cuts, kinks, or exposed wires. If damage is found, replace the cord immediately.
  • Device Malfunction: If the cord and outlet are confirmed to be working, the issue may lie with the electronic device itself.
