Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless sensor. Insert 2x AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2x AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  3. The main unit will power on and begin searching for the outdoor sensor.

2. Sensor Placement

  • Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings.
  • Ensure the sensor is within the 60-meter wireless range of the main unit. Obstacles like thick walls or electronic devices can reduce the range.

3. Initial Synchronization

After battery installation, the main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the outdoor sensor. This process may take a few minutes. Once connected, the outdoor temperature and humidity will appear on the main unit's display.

If the outdoor readings do not appear, press and hold the "CH" button on the main unit to manually initiate a sensor search.

4. Setting Time, Date, and Units

  1. Press and hold the "°C/°F SET" button to enter setup mode. The setting to be adjusted will flash.
  2. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust the value.
  3. Press "°C/°F SET" again to confirm the setting and move to the next parameter.
  4. The typical sequence for settings includes: 12/24-hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, and temperature unit (°C or °F).
  5. Exit setup mode by pressing "°C/°F SET" repeatedly until all settings are confirmed, or wait for 15 seconds for it to exit automatically.

Operating Instructions

Reading the Display

  • The upper section of the display shows the time, date, and weather forecast.
  • The lower left section shows indoor temperature and humidity.
  • The lower right section shows outdoor temperature and humidity.

Weather Forecast

The weather station analyzes atmospheric pressure changes to predict weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours. The forecast is represented by graphical icons (e.g., sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy). This is a prediction and may not always match current outdoor conditions.

Minimum/Maximum Records (MEM)

Press the "MEM" button to view the maximum recorded indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity. Press "MEM" again to view the minimum records. Press "MEM" a third time to return to current readings. To clear the records, press and hold the "MEM" button while viewing the max/min values.

Alarm Function

The weather station includes a radio alarm function. To set the alarm:

  1. Press the "°C/°F SET" button once (do not hold) to cycle through display modes until the alarm time is shown.
  2. Press and hold the "°C/°F SET" button to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
  4. Press "°C/°F SET" to confirm each setting.
  5. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the Up arrow button when the alarm time is displayed. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.
  6. When the alarm sounds, press any button (except "SNOOZE" if available, or the backlight button) to stop it. If no button is pressed, the alarm will sound for a set duration and then automatically turn off.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the main unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic casing or display.
  • Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartments or other openings.

Battery Replacement

  • When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or sensor).
  • Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new, high-quality AA batteries.
  • After replacing batteries in the outdoor sensor, you may need to manually re-synchronize it with the main unit by pressing and holding the "CH" button on the main unit.
  • Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

Environmental Considerations

  • Avoid placing the main unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this can affect indoor temperature readings.
  • Protect the outdoor sensor from extreme weather conditions, although it is designed for outdoor use, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or direct sun can impact its lifespan and accuracy.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No outdoor temperature/humidity displayed.
  • Sensor out of range.
  • Sensor batteries low or incorrectly installed.
  • Interference from other electronic devices.
  • Move sensor closer to the main unit.
  • Replace sensor batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Relocate the main unit or sensor away from potential interference sources.
  • Press and hold "CH" button on main unit to re-synchronize.
Incorrect temperature/humidity readings.
  • Sensor exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
  • Main unit near heat source or vent.
  • Relocate outdoor sensor to a shaded, protected area.
  • Move main unit to a location with stable ambient temperature.
Display is dim or blank.
  • Main unit batteries low or depleted.
  • Replace main unit batteries.
Weather forecast seems inaccurate.
  • Weather forecasts are predictions based on atmospheric pressure changes and may not always be 100% accurate or reflect immediate conditions.
  • This is normal. The forecast is an indication, not a real-time observation.
