4. Setup and Assembly

5.1 Powering On and Off

  • Plug the power cord into a suitable wall socket.
  • Press the On/Off button on the main unit to start the vacuum cleaner.
  • To turn off, press the On/Off button again.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

6.1 Emptying the Dust Bin

The 2.0-liter dust bin should be emptied regularly, especially when the 'max' indicator is reached.

  1. Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Press the dust bin release button and carefully remove the dust bin from the main unit.
  3. Hold the dust bin over a waste bin and press the release button to open the bottom flap, allowing dirt to fall out.
  4. Close the flap securely and reinsert the dust bin into the vacuum cleaner until it clicks.

6.2 Cleaning the Filters

The Allergy Lock filter system captures up to 99.9% of fine dust. Regular cleaning is crucial.

  • Washable Filter: The main filter (often black, with a tap symbol) can be rinsed under running water. Allow it to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
  • Non-Washable Filter: A smaller, light blue filter may be present. This filter is not washable and should be replaced when visibly dirty or every 6-12 months, depending on usage.
