4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your DGODRT USB VGA KVM Switch:

  1. Connect VGA Cables to KVM Switch: Plug the VGA connectors of the KVM cables into the corresponding PC input ports (PC1, PC2) on the KVM switch.
  2. Connect USB Cables to KVM Switch: Plug the USB connectors of the KVM cables into the corresponding USB input ports (USB 1, USB 2) on the KVM switch.
  3. Connect USB Devices: Connect your USB keyboard, mouse, and any other USB 2.0 devices (e.g., printer, scanner) to the USB ports (USB 1, USB 2, USB 3) on the KVM switch's output side.
  4. Connect Monitor: Connect your VGA monitor to the "Output" VGA port on the KVM switch.
  5. Connect Wired Remote: Plug the wired desktop controller into the dedicated port on the KVM switch.
  6. Connect KVM Cables to PCs: Connect the VGA and USB ends of each KVM cable to the respective VGA and USB ports on your PCs (PC1 and PC2). Ensure the HOST Port (VGA & USB connector) of the KVM cable is plugged into the computer, and the KVM Port (VGA connector only) is plugged into the KVM Switch. Do not connect them in reverse.

5. Operating Instructions

The DGODRT USB VGA KVM Switch offers two convenient methods for switching between connected PCs:

  • Method 1: Desktop Control (Button on KVM Switch)

    Press the numbered button (1 or 2) on the top of the KVM switch unit corresponding to the PC you wish to switch to. The active PC's indicator light will illuminate.

  • Method 2: Wired Remote Control

    Use the wired desktop controller. Press the button on the remote corresponding to the PC you wish to switch to. This allows for flexible placement of the switch unit while keeping control within easy reach.
