Compatibility

This remote controller is compatible with SMD 5050, 3528, and 2835 RGB LED strip lights. It is designed for use with 4-pin light strips and DC12V power supplies only. It is not compatible with DC24V or AC200 power supplies.

Setup Instructions

1. Battery Activation: Before first use, locate the plastic insulation tab in the battery compartment of the remote controller. Pull this tab out to activate the pre-installed battery.
2. Connect LED Strip: Ensure your LED strip light is a 4-pin RGB type and uses a DC12V power supply. Connect the LED strip to its control box (not included).
3. Align Connections: When connecting the LED strip to the adapter or control box, ensure the arrow mark on the adapter aligns precisely with the arrow mark on the LED light strip. Correct connection of positive and negative poles according to color coding is essential for proper function.
4. Position Signal Receiver: Ensure the infrared (IR) signal receiver of your LED strip system is unobstructed and visible to the remote controller for optimal operation.

Operating Instructions

The 24-key remote controller provides comprehensive control over compatible RGB LED strip lights. Point the remote directly at the LED strip's IR receiver for best performance.

• ON/OFF: Turns the LED strip lights on or off.
• Brightness Adjustment: Two buttons (sun icons) to increase or decrease the brightness of the lights.
• Color Selection: 16 dedicated buttons for static colors (Red, Green, Blue, White, and various shades).
• Dynamic Modes:
  • FLASH: Rapidly cycles through colors.
  • STROBE: Flashes a single color.
  • FADE: Smoothly transitions between colors.
  • SMOOTH: Gradual color changes.

Maintenance

The remote controller requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device dry and clean. If the remote's performance degrades, replace the internal Lithium Ion battery. Ensure the battery is inserted with correct polarity.

Troubleshooting

• Remote Not Responding:
  • Ensure the plastic insulation tab has been removed from the battery compartment.
  • Verify the remote is pointed directly at the LED strip's IR signal receiver.
  • Check for any obstructions between the remote and the receiver.
  • Replace the battery if the remote still does not function.
• Incorrect Color/Mode Display:
  • Confirm that the adapter arrow mark is aligned with the arrow mark on the light strip.
  • Ensure lead wires are connected correctly according to color coding (positive and negative poles).
• No Power to LED Strip:
  • Verify that the power supply is DC12V. This product is not compatible with DC24V or AC200.
  • Confirm that the LED strip is a 4-pin type.
