3.1 Initial Power-Up

  1. Plug the Helios HS4201 timer into a standard 220V wall outlet.
  2. The digital display will illuminate. If the display is blank, ensure the timer is securely plugged in.
  3. Allow the internal battery (for memory retention) to charge for approximately 15-30 minutes before programming.

3.2 Setting Current Time

Refer to the buttons on the top panel (e.g., "CLOCK", "HOUR", "MINUTE", "DAY").

  1. Press and hold the CLOCK button.
  2. While holding CLOCK, press the DAY button to set the current day of the week.
  3. While holding CLOCK, press the HOUR button to set the current hour.
  4. While holding CLOCK, press the MINUTE button to set the current minute.
  5. Release the CLOCK button. The current time is now set.

4.1 Programming On/Off Cycles (Up to 10 Settings)

The Helios HS4201 allows for up to 10 distinct ON/OFF programming cycles.

  1. Press the PROG button once. The display will show "1 ON".
  2. Press DAY to select the day(s) for the first ON event (e.g., individual days, weekdays, weekends, all days).
  3. Press HOUR to set the hour for the first ON event.
  4. Press MINUTE to set the minute for the first ON event.
  5. Press PROG again. The display will show "1 OFF".
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for the first OFF event.
  7. Continue pressing PROG to cycle through "2 ON", "2 OFF", up to "10 ON", "10 OFF", setting each as required.
  8. After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to exit programming mode and return to the current time display.

4.2 Manual Override

The MANUAL button (or similar, check device labeling) allows you to override the programmed settings temporarily.

4.3 Resetting the Timer

To clear all settings and return the timer to its factory default state, locate the small RESET button (often recessed) and press it using a pointed object (e.g., a pen tip). The display will clear, and you will need to set the current time and reprogram all cycles.
