3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Wash the water tank, portafilter, filter baskets, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3.2 Filling the Water Tank
Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line (2.7 L capacity). Place the tank back securely into the machine.

3.3 Filling the Bean Hopper
Open the lid of the bean hopper located on top of the machine. Pour fresh whole coffee beans into the hopper (250g capacity). Close the lid securely.
3.4 Priming the Machine
Before first use or after a long period of inactivity, prime the machine:
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a container under the brewing head and steam wand.
- Press the 'On/Off' button to turn on the machine. It will start heating up.
- Once heated, press the 'Hot Water' button to dispense hot water through the brewing head until water flows smoothly.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam through the steam wand until steam flows continuously. Close the steam knob.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Grinding Coffee Beans
- Select your desired grind size using the grind size selector (15 sizes available). A finer grind is typically for espresso.
- Place the portafilter under the grinder outlet.
- Activate the grinder (refer to specific button/lever on your model) to dispense freshly ground coffee into the portafilter.
- Tamp the ground coffee firmly and evenly using the provided tamper.
4.2 Brewing Espresso
- Ensure the machine is heated and the pressure gauge indicates optimal brewing pressure.
- Insert the portafilter with tamped coffee into the brewing head and lock it into place by turning it to the right.
- Place your cup(s) on the drip tray under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the 'Single' or 'Double' button for your desired shot size. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.
- For best results, preheat your cups on the cup warming plate before brewing.
4.3 Steaming Milk
- Ensure the machine is at steaming temperature (indicated by the steam icon or light).
- Fill a stainless steel milk jug with cold milk (do not fill more than halfway).
- Purge the steam wand briefly into the drip tray to remove any condensed water.
- Insert the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam. Move the jug up and down to create foam.
- Once desired temperature and texture are achieved, turn off the steam knob.
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Empty and rinse the drip tray daily.
- Remove and clean the portafilter and filter basket after each use.
- Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
- Clean the steam wand immediately after each use.
5.2 Descaling
Regular descaling is crucial to maintain machine performance and extend its lifespan. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Follow the instructions provided with your descaling solution.
- Prepare the descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it into the water tank.
- Place a large container under the brewing head and steam wand.
- Run approximately half of the solution through the brewing head by pressing the 'Single' or 'Double' button repeatedly.
- Run the remaining solution through the steam wand.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
- Run several tanks of fresh water through both the brewing head and steam wand to rinse the system completely.
5.3 Grinder Cleaning
Periodically clean the integrated grinder to prevent blockages and ensure consistent grind quality. Refer to the specific instructions for removing and cleaning the burrs.
