Setup Instructions
1. Pre-Dive Preparation and O-Ring Maintenance:
- Inspect the O-ring for any dirt, hair, or debris. Clean it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Apply a thin, even layer of silicone grease (included) to the O-ring. This helps maintain the seal and prevents drying.
- Ensure the O-ring is properly seated in its groove.
- Inspect the housing body for any cracks, scratches, or damage.
2. Camera and Lens Installation:
- Ensure your camera battery is fully charged and a memory card is inserted.
- Attach the 28-70mm lens to your Sony A7II/A7RII/A7SII camera.
- Install the provided zoom gear onto the 28-70mm lens. Ensure it engages correctly with the housing's internal mechanism.
- Carefully place the camera with the attached lens and zoom gear into the housing. Ensure it sits securely and aligns with the internal controls.
- Close the housing door, ensuring the O-ring is not pinched. Engage the safety lock mechanism.
3. Vacuum Pump System (Optional, sold separately):
If using the Seafrogs VPS-100 vacuum pump system, connect it to the vacuum pump system port on the housing. Follow the instructions provided with the vacuum pump to perform a pre-dive vacuum test. This test verifies the housing's watertight integrity before submerging.
Operating Instructions
1. Before Submerging:
- Perform a dry test: Submerge the empty housing in shallow water for 30 minutes to check for leaks.
- If a vacuum pump system was used, ensure the vacuum holds for the recommended duration.
- Double-check all latches and locks are securely fastened.
2. Underwater Operation:
- Use the external controls on the housing to operate your camera's functions, such as shutter release, mode dial, and zoom.
- Monitor the internal leak detection sensor. If an alarm sounds or a light indicates a leak, surface immediately and safely.
- Avoid operating controls aggressively to prevent damage to the housing or camera.
3. After Use:
- Rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water immediately after each use, especially after saltwater exposure. Do not open the housing before rinsing.
- Allow the housing to air dry completely before opening.
- Once dry, open the housing and remove the camera.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, rinse the housing with fresh water. Use the included cleaning cloth for the optical port. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- O-Ring Care: Regularly inspect the O-ring for damage. Clean and re-grease the O-ring before each dive. Replace the O-ring annually or if any damage is observed.
- Storage: Store the housing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the housing unlatched during storage to prevent compression of the O-ring.
- Moving Parts: Periodically check all buttons, dials, and levers for smooth operation.
