1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your Motorola VM64 CONNECT Baby Monitor. The Motorola VM64 CONNECT offers a reliable solution for monitoring your baby, combining a dedicated parent unit with Wi-Fi connectivity for remote access via the Motorola Nursery App.

2. Product Overview

The Motorola VM64 CONNECT system includes a Camera Unit (Baby Unit) and a Parent Unit (Monitor). It also comes with power adapters for both units and a magnetic mount for flexible placement.

2.1. Parent Unit (Monitor)

  • 4.3-inch Color Screen: Provides a clear video feed of your baby.
  • Control Buttons: For navigation, menu access, two-way talk, and power.
  • Rechargeable Battery: Offers up to 5 hours of portable use when fully charged.
  • Antenna: For stable connection to the Camera Unit.

2.2. Camera Unit (Baby Unit)

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Charging the Parent Unit

Before initial use, fully charge the Parent Unit for approximately 5 hours. Connect the supplied power adapter to the Parent Unit and a power outlet. The battery indicator will show charging status. Once fully charged, the Parent Unit can be unplugged for portable use.

3.2. Powering the Camera Unit

Place the Camera Unit in a suitable location in your baby's room. Connect the supplied power adapter to the Camera Unit and a power outlet. Ensure the power adapter cable is positioned safely, away from the crib and out of reach of children.

3.3. Mounting the Camera Unit

The Camera Unit features a flexible magnetic mount for versatile placement. It can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall for an optimal view of your baby. Screws for wall mounting are not included.

3.4. Initial Pairing

The Camera Unit and Parent Unit are pre-paired at the factory. If they do not connect automatically, refer to the Troubleshooting section for manual pairing instructions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Parent Unit Controls

  • Power Button: Press and hold to turn the unit ON/OFF.
  • Menu Button: Access various settings and features.
  • OK Button: Confirm selections.
  • Navigation Keys: Use the directional arrows to pan, tilt, and zoom the camera, and to navigate menus.
  • Microphone Button: Press and hold to activate two-way talk.

4.2. Digital Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

From the Parent Unit, use the navigation keys to remotely adjust the camera's view. Press the up/down arrows to tilt and left/right arrows to pan. Press the OK button to zoom in or out.

4.3. Two-Way Communication

To speak to your baby, press and hold the microphone button on the Parent Unit. Your voice will be transmitted through the Camera Unit's speaker.

4.4. Night Vision

The Camera Unit is equipped with infrared night vision, which automatically activates in low-light conditions, providing a clear black-and-white image of your baby.

4.5. Lullabies

Access the menu on the Parent Unit to select and play a variety of calming lullabies through the Camera Unit's speaker to soothe your baby.

4.6. Room Temperature Display

The Parent Unit displays the room temperature detected by the Camera Unit, helping you ensure a comfortable environment for your baby.

5. Motorola Nursery App

Enhance your monitoring experience by connecting your VM64 CONNECT to the Motorola Nursery App. This app provides remote access to your camera feed, event monitoring, and additional features from your smartphone or tablet.

5.1. App Features

5.3. Downloading the App

The Motorola Nursery App is compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices. Search for "Motorola Nursery" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download and install the app.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the Parent Unit and Camera Unit. Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid cleaners.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures and do not leave the Parent Unit fully discharged for extended periods.
  • Storage: If storing the device for a long time, ensure both units are fully charged and then power them off. Store in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
