1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use and maintenance of your Martian Motorcycle Bluetooth Helmet. This helmet is designed for rider safety and convenience, featuring a full-face design, dual visor system, and an integrated Bluetooth headset for communication and audio entertainment.

The helmet is DOT approved, ensuring it meets safety standards. It includes a Bluetooth system supporting up to 6 riders for intercom communication and offers connectivity with mobile phones, GPS devices, and MP3 players.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the helmet's integrated Lithium Ion battery. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.

3.2 Bluetooth Device Pairing

The helmet's Bluetooth 3.0 technology allows connection to various devices.

The helmet's Bluetooth system allows connection to various devices. Pair with your mobile phone for calls and music, GPS for navigation prompts, or an MP3 player for audio playback.

  1. Mobile Phone: Connect to your mobile phone to make and receive calls, and listen to music.
  2. GPS: Connect to a GPS device to receive navigation voice prompts.
  3. MP3 Player: Connect to an MP3 player for music playback.

3.3 Intercom System Setup

The helmet supports group intercom functionality for communication with other riders.

The helmet supports group intercom for up to 6 riders, enabling communication over a distance of up to 1000 meters. For two riders, the connection distance is up to 500 meters. Refer to the specific Bluetooth headset manual for detailed pairing instructions for multiple units.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Bluetooth Control Panel Functions

The Bluetooth control panel on the side of the helmet provides easy access to various functions.

The Bluetooth control panel features a multi-function button, a jog-wheel for volume and channel adjustments, and an LED indicator light. Use the jog-wheel to control volume and navigate FM radio channels.

  • Multi-function Button: Used for power on/off, pairing, answering/ending calls, and other primary functions.
  • Jog-wheel: Rotates for volume adjustment (VOL+ / VOL-) and can be pressed for other controls.
  • LED Indication Light: Displays the status of the Bluetooth unit (e.g., pairing mode, connected, charging).

4.2 FM Radio Operation

The helmet includes a built-in FM radio for entertainment.

To activate the FM radio, turn the jog-wheel anti-clockwise and hold for 2 seconds until a short tone is heard. The FM radio will then turn on. To change FM channels, turn the jog-wheel anti-clockwise or clockwise to cycle through available stations. To adjust FM volume, turn the jog-wheel clockwise to increase the volume. The volume will be raised step by step with each turn. A "di di" tone indicates when maximum volume is reached. The volume will become minimum when you continue to turn it twice.

4.3 Phone Calls and Music Playback

Once paired with your mobile phone, you can easily manage calls and music:

  • Phone Calls: Use the multi-function button for easy one-touch phone call control (answer, end, reject).
  • Music Playback: Control music playback (play, pause, skip tracks) via the multi-function button and jog-wheel.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Removable Liner Cleaning

The helmet's interior features a removable and washable liner for hygiene and comfort.

The helmet features a removable, washable inner liner made of high-grade velvet for comfort and hygiene. Regularly remove and clean the cheek pads and crown liner to maintain cleanliness. Hand wash with mild soap and water, then air dry completely before reinstallation.

5.2 Visor Care

Clean the outer clear shield and inner smoked lens with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the visor surface.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Bluetooth Not Connecting: Ensure the helmet's Bluetooth is in pairing mode. Check that your device's Bluetooth is enabled and visible. Try restarting both the helmet's Bluetooth and your device.
  • No Audio/Poor Audio Quality: Check the volume levels on both the helmet and your connected device. Ensure speakers are correctly positioned within the helmet. The advanced DSP echo cancellation and noise suppression technology should provide clear audio; if issues persist, check microphone placement.
  • Intercom Issues: Verify that all helmets are within the specified communication range (1000m for 6 riders, 500m for 2 riders). Ensure all units are properly paired for intercom functionality.
  • Battery Not Charging: Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the helmet and a power source. Check if the power source is active.
