1. Introduction

The RD RD6006W is a communication version DC-DC adjustable step-down power supply module. This device integrates a digital control panel, allowing for precise voltage and current regulation. It supports USB connection to PC software and can be controlled via a phone application, offering enhanced flexibility for various applications. This manual provides essential information for safe and effective use of your RD6006W power supply.

2. Safety Information

  • This product is intended for use by qualified personnel.
  • Ensure correct input voltage selection (110V/220V AC) before connecting to power. Incorrect selection can cause serious damage.
  • Do not connect non-original accessories to the Temperature Sensor/Fan/Communication interface on the board to avoid device damage.
  • Always follow the instructions provided in this manual for safe operation.

3. Package Contents

The RD6006W package includes the main unit. Please note that the case and input Power Supply Unit (PSU) are not included and must be sourced separately. A backup fuse is provided in the box; do not discard it as it may be needed for replacement.

4. Setup

4.1 Input Power Supply Configuration

The main body of the power supply is set to use 220V AC input by default. If you are in a region that uses 110V AC input (e.g., US), you must remove the protective sticker and switch the AC selector to 110V AC. Failure to do so may damage the device. The AC input power cable is not included and needs to be prepared by yourself.

4.2 Battery for Time Display

A CR1220 battery is required for the time display function. This battery is not included and needs to be prepared by yourself.

4.3 External Temperature Sensor

The external temperature sensor cable is not included with the device.

4.4 Software and App Download

Download the instruction manual from the card included in the RD6006W box for details on PC software and phone app installation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

The RD6006W offers an output voltage range of 0-60.00V DC and an output current range of 0-6.00A. Use the integrated panel to set your desired voltage and current values. The 2.4-inch colorful LCD screen provides clear and detailed information.

5.2 Protection Functions

The device includes Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP). You can set corresponding protection values. If the output voltage/current exceeds the set protection value, the output will automatically shut down to prevent damage to the load. Abnormal status indicators (OVP, OCP, OTP) are displayed on the screen.

5.3 Button Lock Function

Press the "SHIFT" button and "LOCK" button simultaneously to lock/unlock the keypad, preventing accidental operation.

5.4 PC Software and Mobile App Control

The RD6006W supports USB connection for PC software control (Windows 7 and above) and a mobile app for Android (5.0 and above). These interfaces allow for remote monitoring, setting parameters, and data recording.

5.5 Firmware Update

The RD6006W supports firmware updates, allowing for new functions and improved performance. Refer to the instruction card for detailed update procedures.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Fuse Replacement

A backup fuse is provided in the box. If the fuse burns out, you can replace it with the provided spare. Refer to the instruction card for detailed steps on how to safely replace the fuse.

6.2 Cleaning

Disconnect the power supply from the main power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

7.1 App Connectivity Issues

If you experience issues with the phone app, ensure you have downloaded the correct version and checked for any incompatibilities with your phone system in advance. Refer to the instruction card for specific connection methods.

This product is offered with free maintenance service within one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover failures caused by improper use, improper handling, improper repair, modification, or adjustment of the device. Consumable materials are not covered by the warranty. Naturally irreversible disasters are not covered by the warranty. Maintenance costs are charged for repairs due to floods, fires, earthquakes, etc.
