3. Setup and Assembly

3.1. Individual Figure Preparation

  1. Carefully remove each action figure from its packaging.
  2. Attach any included accessories (e.g., Freddy's microphone, Bonnie's guitar, Chica's cupcake) to the designated points on the figures. These accessories are designed to fit securely but may require gentle force.

3.2. Assembling the Spring Trap Build-A-Figure

Each of the five action figures includes a specific part for the Spring Trap build-a-figure. Collect all five parts to assemble the complete Spring Trap figure.

  • Identify the Spring Trap component included with each figure.
  • Connect the corresponding parts by aligning the pegs and holes. Apply gentle, even pressure to snap the pieces together.
  • Ensure all connections are secure for stability.

Note: Some joints may be stiff initially. Gentle movement can help loosen them. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage.

4. Operation and Articulation

These action figures feature multiple points of articulation, allowing for various poses. Common articulation points include:

  • Head (rotation and tilt)
  • Shoulders (rotation and hinge)
  • Elbows (hinge)
  • Wrists (rotation)
  • Waist (rotation)
  • Hips (rotation and hinge)
  • Knees (hinge)
  • Ankles (rotation and hinge)

To pose a figure, gently manipulate the desired joint. If a joint feels stiff, apply minimal, consistent pressure. Avoid twisting or bending joints beyond their intended range of motion to prevent breakage.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

To clean your action figures, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dust. For more stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by immediate drying with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the paint or material.

5.2. Storage

Store figures in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause colors to fade. Keep figures away from small children if they contain small, detachable parts that could pose a choking hazard.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Loose Joints: If a joint becomes loose, it may be due to repeated posing. While some looseness is normal over time, if a joint consistently detaches, ensure it is fully seated. For display purposes, a small amount of clear nail polish or a similar non-permanent adhesive applied to the joint peg (allow to dry before reassembly) can increase friction.
  • Stiff Joints: If a joint is too stiff to move, gently warm the area with a hairdryer on a low setting for a few seconds (hold at a safe distance) to soften the plastic, then attempt to move the joint. Do not overheat.
  • Accessories Not Fitting: Ensure the accessory is oriented correctly. If it still does not fit, check for any excess plastic or molding imperfections that might be obstructing the connection. Do not force accessories, as this can cause breakage.
