2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unboxing and Placement
Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance, leaving at least 5 inches of space from walls or other objects.

2.2 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker. The unit features a self-cleaning function:
- Ensure the unit is unplugged and the ice basket is removed.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line.
- Plug in the unit and press the 'CLEAN' button on the control panel. The machine will run a cleaning cycle.
- After the cycle, drain the water using the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
- Wipe the interior with a soft cloth.

2.3 Adding Water
Open the top lid and remove the ice basket. Pour clean, potable water into the reservoir, ensuring it does not exceed the 'MAX' fill line. Replace the ice basket and close the lid.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Starting Ice Production
- After adding water, ensure the unit is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control panel to start the ice making process. The 'ICE MAKING' indicator light will illuminate.
- The first batch of ice cubes will be ready in approximately 8 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster.
3.2 Ice Collection
As ice cubes are produced, they will drop into the removable ice basket. When the ice basket is full, the 'ICE FULL' indicator light will turn on, and the ice maker will automatically pause production. Remove ice from the basket using the provided scoop to resume production.
3.3 Adding More Water
If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the 'ADD WATER' indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will pause. Add more water as described in Section 2.3, and the ice making process will automatically restart.
3.4 Stopping Operation
To stop the ice maker at any time, simply press the 'ON/OFF' button. The unit will power down.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Regular Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the quality of your ice and the efficiency of the machine. Use the self-cleaning function periodically (as described in Section 2.2). For a more thorough clean, unplug the unit, drain all water, and wipe down the interior and exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry before storage or next use.
4.2 Draining Water
To drain water from the reservoir, locate the drain plug at the bottom of the unit (refer to Figure 3). Place a container under the plug, remove it, and allow all water to drain. Replace the plug securely once empty.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ULIT Portable Ice Maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- 'ADD WATER' Indicator On: The water reservoir is low. Add clean water up to the MAX line.
- 'ICE FULL' Indicator On: The ice basket is full. Remove ice to resume production.
- Ice Not Forming: Ensure the unit is plugged in, the water reservoir is filled, and the ambient temperature is within the recommended range (typically 50°F to 90°F). Check for proper ventilation.
- Unusual Noise: Some operational noise is normal (e.g., compressor, water pump). If the noise is excessive or unusual, ensure the unit is on a stable surface and not obstructed.
