General Safety Precautions
- Always ensure the appliance is properly assembled before use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Always use oven mitts when handling hot accessories or food.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or main unit housing in water or other liquid.

- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

- Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Avoid using extension cords. If one is necessary, ensure it is rated for the appliance's power consumption.

Setup and First Use
Unpacking
- Remove all packaging materials, promotional labels, and tape from the unit.
- Take out all accessories from the package.
Placement
- Place the oven on a clean, dry, and level surface.
- Ensure there is adequate space (at least 6 inches) between the back of the oven and the wall, and above the oven for proper ventilation.
- Do not place the oven near the edge of a countertop where it could be easily knocked over.
Initial Cleaning
- Wash the Air Fry Basket, Nonstick SearPlate, Wire Rack, and Removable Crumb Tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a soft, damp cloth.
- Before first use, it is recommended to run the oven on the 'Air Roast' function at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes without food to eliminate any manufacturing odors. Some smoke or odor may be present during this initial run; this is normal.

The Ninja SP301 offers 13 versatile cooking functions, utilizing Dual Heat Technology for optimal results.
Dual Heat Technology
This oven combines up to 500°F (260°C) directly heated SearPlate with up to 500°F (260°C) rapid cyclonic air. This allows for simultaneous searing and crisping, delivering efficient cooking and enhanced food texture.

Available Functions
- Air Fry: For crispy results with little to no oil. Ideal for fries, wings, and vegetables.
- Sear Crisp: Combines high heat from the SearPlate with convection for a cast-iron-like sear and even cooking.
- Rapid Bake: Quick baking for cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.
- Frozen Pizza: Optimized setting for cooking frozen pizzas.
- Fresh Pizza: Designed for cooking fresh, homemade pizzas.
- Griddle: Uses the SearPlate for cooking items like pancakes, eggs, or grilled sandwiches.
- Air Roast: Evenly roasts meats, vegetables, and more.
- Bake: Traditional baking function for various dishes.
- Broil: High heat from above for browning and caramelizing.
- Toast: For perfectly toasted bread and bagels.
- Bagel: Toasts the cut side of bagels while gently warming the outside.
- Dehydrate: Removes moisture from foods for healthy snacks like fruit leathers and jerky.
- Reheat: Gently warms leftovers without overcooking.
Using Specific Functions
To select a function, turn the Function Dial. Adjust time and temperature using the Time/Temp Dial and corresponding buttons. Press START/STOP to begin cooking.

Using Accessories
SearPlate
The Nonstick SearPlate is designed for functions requiring direct heat, such as Sear Crisp, Griddle, and Fresh Pizza. It can also be used as a traditional sheet pan for Air Oven functions like Bake or Air Roast.
Air Fry Basket
Use the Air Fry Basket for functions like Air Fry and Dehydrate. Its mesh design allows for optimal air circulation around food, ensuring even crisping.
Wire Rack
The Wire Rack is suitable for Toast, Bagel, and some Bake functions. It can also be used to elevate food when placed on the SearPlate for certain recipes.
Removable Crumb Tray
Always ensure the Crumb Tray is in place at the bottom of the oven to catch crumbs and drips. This makes cleaning easier and prevents burning.
Storage
The Ninja SP301 oven features a unique flip-up design for convenient storage, reclaiming up to 45% of your counter space.
Flipping Up for Storage
- Ensure the oven is completely cool before attempting to flip it up.
- Remove all accessories from the oven cavity.
- Grasp the handles on both sides of the oven and carefully lift the front of the unit upwards until it locks into the vertical storage position.
- The oven will stand securely in this position against your kitchen backsplash.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your oven.
General Cleaning
- Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
Cleaning Accessories
- Air Fry Basket, Wire Rack, SearPlate: Wash in warm, soapy water. For stubborn, baked-on food, soak in warm water before cleaning with a non-abrasive sponge.
- Removable Crumb Tray: Slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or wash in warm, soapy water.
Cleaning Interior and Exterior
- Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth after each use. For more thorough cleaning, use a non-abrasive liquid cleanser and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as they may scratch the surface.
Troubleshooting
