Always ensure the safe is properly installed and secured before use. Do not store hazardous materials or items that could be damaged by temperature fluctuations inside the safe. Keep backup keys in a secure location away from the vehicle.

6. Setup and Installation

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process and requires no modifications to the vehicle's factory console. An instruction guide is included with the product for detailed steps. Below are general guidelines and important considerations:

  1. Prepare the Console: Clear out the center console. You may need to remove existing liners or trays.
  2. Access Mounting Area: Depending on your vehicle model, you might need to slightly lift or adjust parts of the console to access the mounting points. Some users find it helpful to gently pry between the metal base and the plastic console to create space.
  3. Attach Flanged Nuts: Before inserting the mounting bracket under the console, clip the flanged nuts onto the designated holes on the mounting bracket. This step is crucial for securing the bolts later.
  4. Position Mounting Plate: Slide the mounting plate into position under the console, aligning it with the factory mounting points.
  5. Secure the Safe: Place the safe unit into the console, aligning its base with the mounting plate. Insert the provided bolts through the safe's base and into the flanged nuts on the mounting plate. Tighten securely.
  6. Final Check: Ensure the safe is firmly installed and does not wobble.
