TSA Universal United States to Turkey Travel Power Adapter

TSA Universal United States to Turkey Travel Power Adapter Instruction Manual

Model: United States to Turkey Travel Power Adapter (Type C)

1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your TSA Universal United States to Turkey Travel Power Adapter. This adapter is designed to allow North American electrical plugs to connect to Type C outlets commonly found in Turkey and other regions. It is essential to read and understand all instructions and warnings before use.

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: This adapter does NOT convert voltage. It is designed for use only with dual-voltage devices (125V/250V) that can operate on the local voltage supply. Using this adapter with single-voltage devices that do not match the local voltage can damage your device and pose a safety risk. Always check your device's voltage requirements before use.

On the right, three different configurations of European Type C outlets are depicted, each with a green checkmark, indicating compatibility with the adapter.

3. Setup and Operation

3.1 Before You Travel

  • Verify Device Voltage: Confirm that your electronic devices are dual-voltage (e.g., 100-240V, 50/60Hz). This information is usually printed on the device's power adapter or in its manual.
  • Understand Local Voltage: Turkey uses a 220-240V supply. If your device is not dual-voltage, you will need a voltage converter in addition to this plug adapter. This adapter does NOT convert voltage.

3.2 Connecting Your Device

  1. Insert Device Plug: Take your North American device plug and firmly insert it into the front receptacle of the TSA Universal Travel Power Adapter. Ensure a snug fit.
  2. Insert Adapter into Wall Outlet: Locate a Type C wall outlet in Turkey. Firmly insert the two round pins of the travel adapter into the wall outlet.
  3. Power On Device: Once connected, your dual-voltage device should receive power.

3.3 Disconnecting

  1. Remove Adapter from Wall: Gently pull the adapter directly out of the wall outlet. Do not pull by the device's cord.
  2. Remove Device Plug: Disconnect your device's plug from the adapter.

4. Maintenance and Care

  • Keep the adapter clean and dry.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the adapter to strong impacts.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the adapter.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Charging/Powering On:
    • Ensure your device is dual-voltage and compatible with the local 220-240V supply.
    • Check that both the device plug and the adapter are firmly inserted.
    • Verify the wall outlet is functional by testing with another known working device (if safe to do so).
  • Loose Connection / Plug Falls Out:
    • Ensure the device plug is fully inserted into the adapter.
    • Ensure the adapter is fully inserted into the wall outlet.
    • Some older or worn outlets may have loose contacts. Try a different outlet if available.
  • Sparks When Plugging In:
    • A small spark can sometimes occur when connecting any electrical device. If the spark is large, persistent, or accompanied by smoke/burning smell, immediately disconnect and discontinue use.
    • Ensure the adapter and device are dry before connecting.
