The VERPROOF VE12 safe requires a 9V battery (not included) for its electronic locking mechanisms. To install the battery:

  1. Open the safe using one of the emergency keys provided. The keyhole is located on the front panel.
  2. Locate the battery compartment inside the safe, typically behind a small cover or flap.
  3. Connect a new 9V battery to the battery connector.
  4. Place the battery securely into the compartment and close the cover.
  5. Close the safe door. The safe is now powered and ready for programming.

5.2 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be mounted in various locations such as under a desk, on a nightstand, or inside a wardrobe. The included mounting bracket allows for flexible installation.

  1. Determine your desired mounting location. The safe can be mounted with the opening facing left, right, or downwards.
  2. Attach the mounting bracket to your chosen surface using the provided screw kit. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened to a sturdy structure.
  3. Align the safe with the mounted bracket. The safe slides onto the bracket.
  4. Once the safe is on the bracket, open the safe door. From the inside, secure the safe to the bracket using the internal bolts. This prevents the safe from being removed from the bracket when closed.
