5. Installation Instructions

5.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

• Adjustable Wrench or Pliers
• Screwdriver (Phillips or Flathead, depending on existing bolts)
• Sponge or Towel
• Bucket (for residual water)

5.2 Removing the Old Flush Valve

1. Turn off the water supply valve located at the base of the toilet.
2. Flush the toilet to drain the tank. Hold the handle down until most of the water has emptied.
3. Use a sponge or towel to remove any remaining water from the tank.
4. Disconnect the water supply line from the fill valve.
5. Unscrew the nuts from the tank-to-bowl bolts located underneath the toilet tank.
6. Carefully lift the toilet tank off the bowl and place it on a protected surface.
7. Remove the old flush valve and gasket from the tank. Clean the tank's flush hole thoroughly.

5.3 Installing the New NuFlush Valve

1. Place the new tank-to-bowl gasket onto the threaded base of the NuFlush valve. Ensure it is seated correctly.
2. Insert the flush valve assembly into the large opening at the bottom center of the toilet tank. Ensure the overflow tube is positioned correctly.
3. From the underside of the tank, secure the flush valve with the large plastic nut provided. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench for a snug fit, but do not overtighten.
4. Re-position the toilet tank onto the toilet bowl, aligning the bolt holes.
5. Insert the new mounting bolts through the tank and bowl holes. Secure with washers and nuts from underneath the bowl. Tighten evenly to prevent cracking the tank or bowl.
6. Install the cable-controlled flush handle into the right-hand side opening of the toilet tank. Secure it with the provided nut.
7. Connect the cable from the flush valve to the flush handle lever. Ensure the cable has enough slack to operate smoothly without kinking.
8. Reconnect the water supply line to the fill valve.
9. Slowly turn on the water supply valve and allow the tank to fill. Check for any leaks around the flush valve, tank-to-bowl connection, and water supply line.

6. Operating Instructions

The NuFlush dual flush valve provides two flushing options to conserve water:

• Half Flush (Liquid Waste): Push the flush handle up. This releases a smaller volume of water, suitable for liquid waste.
• Full Flush (Solid Waste): Push the flush handle down. This releases the full volume of water from the tank, suitable for solid waste.

Ensure the handle returns to its neutral position after each flush to allow the tank to refill properly.
