Setup
1. Initial Charge and Reset
Before first use, plug the timer into a wall socket for approximately 5-10 minutes to charge its internal battery. This battery retains your settings during power outages. After charging, use a pointed object (like a pen tip) to press the RESET button (small red dot next to OK) to clear all previous settings and ensure proper operation.
2. Setting the Current Time and Day
- Press and hold the CLOCK button.
- While holding CLOCK, press the PROG button repeatedly to select the current day of the week (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
- While holding CLOCK, press the SET button repeatedly to set the current hour.
- While holding CLOCK, press the UP button repeatedly to set the current minute.
- Release the CLOCK button. The time and day are now set.
Operating Instructions
1. Programming ON/OFF Cycles (16 Programs)
The timer allows you to set up to 16 different ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.
- Press the PROG button once. The display will show "1 ON".
- Press PROG repeatedly to select the desired day(s) for this program. Options include individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all days.
- Press SET to set the hour for the "ON" time.
- Press UP to set the minute for the "ON" time.
- Press PROG again. The display will show "1 OFF".
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for the "OFF" time.
- Continue pressing PROG to set subsequent programs (2 ON, 2 OFF, etc.) up to 16 programs.
- To exit programming mode, press the CLOCK button.
2. Manual Override Modes (ON/AUTO/OFF)
Press the SET button repeatedly to cycle through the operating modes:
- AUTO ON: The timer will follow your programmed ON times.
- AUTO OFF: The timer will follow your programmed OFF times.
- ON: The connected appliance will remain continuously ON, overriding all programs.
- OFF: The connected appliance will remain continuously OFF, overriding all programs.
For automatic operation based on your programs, ensure the timer is set to AUTO ON or AUTO OFF.
3. Countdown Function
The countdown function allows you to set a specific duration after which the timer will switch the connected appliance ON or OFF. This function can be complex to set up initially.
- Press and hold PROG and UP simultaneously to enter countdown setting mode. The display will show "COUNTDOWN".
- Press SET to adjust hours, UP to adjust minutes, and PROG to adjust seconds for the countdown duration.
- Press the CLOCK button (which also functions as OK) to confirm the duration.
- Press SET to toggle between ON (appliance turns ON after countdown) or OFF (appliance turns OFF after countdown).
- Press the CLOCK button to start the countdown.
- To cancel an active countdown, press the CLOCK button, then press SET until the countdown display disappears or shows "OFF".
Tip: If you only want to use a single countdown setting, ensure the second countdown setting (if prompted) is set to 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds, and OFF.
4. Random Function
The random function activates and deactivates the connected appliance at irregular intervals, typically used for security purposes when away from home.
- Press the PROG button repeatedly until "RANDOM" appears on the display.
- The timer will now switch ON and OFF randomly within a certain time window (e.g., 10-30 minutes ON, then 10-30 minutes OFF).
- To deactivate, press PROG again until "RANDOM" disappears.
5. Summer Time Function
This function allows for a quick adjustment for daylight saving time.
- Press and hold the CLOCK button, then press the SET button. The display will show "SUMMER" and the time will advance by one hour.
- Repeat the action to revert to standard time.
Maintenance
