Programming Instructions
This remote control supports self-programming for vehicles that already have a working keyless entry system. Follow these steps carefully:
- Close all vehicle doors.
- Open the driver's door and press the unlock button on the driver's door while it is open.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition cylinder. Ensure your foot is off the brake pedal.
- Turn the ignition from the "OFF" position to the "RUN" position 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in the "RUN" position. Do not start the car. The "RUN" position is just before the vehicle starts. The "OFF" position is when the key is turned all the way back and can be removed. The vehicle's door locks will cycle (lock and unlock) to signal that it has entered programming mode.
- Press any button on the remote control you wish to program. The door locks will cycle again, confirming successful programming of that remote. Repeat this step for any additional remotes you wish to program (up to 27 devices).
- Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position. The door locks will cycle one last time to indicate that programming mode has ended.
Important Note: If you do not have an existing working remote control, or if the self-programming process is difficult, it is recommended to seek assistance from a qualified locksmith or dealership for programming.
