Introduction
The Hoover CleanSlate Upholstery & Carpet Spot Cleaner is designed for permanently removing stains and messes with powerful suction and versatile tools. Its light, portable design and long cord make it ideal for cleaning spills and stains on the go. The machine features a 7" WidePath tool for large areas and a TightSpot tool for crevices. The integrated Hose Rinse tool ensures the machine stays clean and ready for its next use.

Setup
1. Filling the Clean Water Tank
Remove the clean water tank from the unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with water up to the indicated line. Add the appropriate amount of Hoover cleaning solution based on the area size (small or large). Securely screw the cap back on and reinsert the tank into the machine until it clicks into place.

2. Attaching Cleaning Tools
Select the appropriate cleaning tool (7" WidePath or TightSpot) for your task. Attach the tool securely to the end of the hose until it locks into position.

Operating the Cleaner
Plug the machine into a power outlet. Press the power button located on the top handle to turn the unit on. The machine is now ready for use.

Cleaning Process: Spray, Scrub, Suction
To clean, hold the tool over the stained area. Press the trigger on the tool to spray cleaning solution onto the stain. Release the trigger and scrub the area with the tool's bristles. Then, tilt the tool to engage the suction and pull it across the wet area to extract the dirty solution. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed.

Maintenance
1. Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank
After each use, remove the dirty water tank by pressing the release button and tilting it out. Open the lid and carefully pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry before reassembling.
2. Using the Hose Rinse Tool
To prevent clogs and maintain optimal performance, use the hose rinse tool after each cleaning session. Attach the hose rinse tool to the end of the hose. Turn on the machine and press the trigger to circulate clean water through the hose, flushing out any remaining debris. Continue until the water runs clear.
