Setup

1. Filling the Clean Water/Formula Tank

1. Remove the clean water tank from the back of the unit by lifting the handle.
2. Unscrew the black cap at the bottom of the tank.
3. Fill the tank with warm (not boiling) tap water up to the water fill line.
4. Add the recommended BISSELL cleaning formula up to the formula fill line. Refer to the formula bottle for specific mixing instructions.
5. Replace the black cap securely and place the tank back onto the unit.

2. Attaching Cleaning Tools

• Select the appropriate cleaning tool (Deep Stain Tool or 3" Tough Stain Tool) for your task.
• Attach the desired tool firmly to the end of the flexible hose until it clicks into place.

3. Power Connection

Unwind the power cord and plug the cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating

Follow these steps for effective spot and stain cleaning:

1. Pre-treatment (Optional)

For heavily soiled areas or stubborn stains, pre-treat the area with a BISSELL pre-treatment spray according to its instructions. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before cleaning.

2. Cleaning Process

1. Turn on the cleaner using the power switch located on the back of the unit.
2. Hold the cleaning tool about one inch above the soiled surface. Press the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution.
3. While continuing to press the spray trigger, slowly pull the tool over the soiled area.
4. Release the spray trigger and slowly pull the tool over the same area to suction up the dirty solution. Repeat this step until no more dirt can be removed.
5. For best results, make several passes without pressing the trigger to ensure maximum moisture extraction.

3. Cleaning Different Surfaces

Maintenance

1. Emptying the Dirty Water Tank

1. Turn off the cleaner and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the dirty water tank from the front of the unit.
3. Unlatch the tank lid and carefully pour out the dirty water into a sink or toilet.
4. Rinse the dirty water tank and lid thoroughly with clean water.

2. Cleaning Tools and Hose

• Remove the cleaning tool from the hose. Rinse the tool under running water.
• To clean the hose, fill the clean water tank with clean water (no formula). Hold the end of the hose over a sink and press the spray trigger to flush water through the hose.
• Wipe down the exterior of the cleaner with a soft cloth.

3. Storage

Ensure all tanks are empty and clean before storing the cleaner. Wrap the power cord and hose neatly around the designated storage areas on the unit. Store in a dry, protected area.
