Safety Information

Assembly Steps:

  1. Handle Assembly: Attach the handle to the main unit using the provided hardware. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Wheel Attachment: The wheels are pre-mounted for convenience.
  3. High-Pressure Hose Connection: Connect one end of the 20-foot high-pressure hose to the pressure washer's M22 outlet and the other end to the spray gun. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Garden Hose Connection: Connect your garden hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Ensure the water inlet filter is clean and properly seated.
  5. Nozzle Attachment: Select the desired quick-connect nozzle and insert it into the spray wand until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions

Before Starting:

  • Ensure all connections are secure.
  • Turn on the water supply completely.
  • Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges.

Starting the Unit:

  1. Plug the 35-foot power cord into a grounded GFCI outlet.
  2. Turn the rotary switch on the pressure washer to the "ON" position. The motor will start when the spray gun trigger is squeezed and stop when released.

Using Nozzles:

The Greenworks pressure washer includes three quick-connect nozzles for various cleaning tasks:

  • 25° Nozzle (Green): Provides a medium-angle, high-pressure spray. Ideal for general cleaning of fences, patios, and driveways.

  • 40° Nozzle (White): Delivers a wide-angle, medium-pressure spray. Suitable for delicate surfaces, car washing, and general rinsing.

  • Soap Nozzle (Black): Used for applying detergent. This nozzle operates at a lower pressure to allow for effective soap application.

Detergent Application:

The pressure washer features a soap siphon hose that allows for the use of cleaning detergents. Ensure you use pressure washer safe detergents. Follow the detergent manufacturer's instructions for dilution.

  1. Place the end of the soap siphon hose into a container of pre-diluted pressure washer detergent.
  2. Attach the black soap nozzle to the spray wand.
  3. Start the pressure washer and apply detergent to the surface. Allow the detergent to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions), then switch to a high-pressure nozzle (25° or 40°) to rinse thoroughly.

Shutting Down:

  1. Turn the pressure washer switch to the "OFF" position.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.

  • Nozzle Cleaning: If a nozzle becomes clogged, use the included nozzle cleaning tool to clear any debris.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Hose and Cord Care: Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly after each use to prevent kinks and damage.

  • Winterization (for cold climates): If storing the pressure washer in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing, it is crucial to winterize the unit to prevent damage.
    1. Disconnect all hoses.
    2. Pour pressure washer pump protector (available at hardware stores) into the water inlet.
    3. Briefly turn on the unit (1-2 seconds) until the protector solution exits the high-pressure outlet.
    4. Store the unit in a dry, protected area.

Troubleshooting
