3. Setup and First Use
Unpacking
Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Retain the packaging for storage or in case of return. Check for any visible damage. If damaged, do not use the iron and contact customer support.
Before First Use
- Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
- It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be emitted during the first use. This is due to the burning off of manufacturing residues and will quickly dissipate.
- To clean the soleplate, iron an old, damp cotton cloth for a few minutes.
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Open the water inlet cover, usually located at the front of the handle.
- Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the "MAX" indicator line. Do not overfill. For areas with hard water, distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prolong the life of the iron.
- Close the water inlet cover securely.
4. Operating Instructions
Temperature Settings
The iron features an EnergySave digital temperature system with 5 settings. Always check the garment's care label for recommended ironing temperature.
- Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
- Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up.
- Wait for the indicator light to turn off, signifying that the desired temperature has been reached.

Steam Ironing
Steam ironing is effective for most fabrics. Ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is set to a high enough temperature (usually 3 dots or higher) for steam generation.
- Continuous Steam: Once the iron reaches the set temperature, steam will be continuously emitted from the soleplate.
- Steam Shot: Press the steam shot button (usually located on the handle) for an extra burst of steam to tackle stubborn wrinkles. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat.
- Vertical Steam: The steam shot function can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Hold the iron vertically a few inches away from the fabric and press the steam shot button.

Dry Ironing
For delicate fabrics or when steam is not desired, the iron can be used without steam.
- Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to the "no steam" position.
- Set the temperature dial according to the fabric type.
- Proceed with ironing as usual.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your iron.
Cleaning the Soleplate
- After each use, allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
- Do not use metallic scourers or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the soleplate.

Descaling (Anti-Calc System)
The iron is equipped with an anti-calc system. However, periodic descaling may still be necessary, especially in hard water areas.
- Fill the water tank with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution suitable for irons.
- Heat the iron to its maximum temperature setting.
- Allow the iron to steam for a few minutes, or press the steam shot button several times over an old cloth.
- Unplug the iron and let it cool. Empty any remaining solution.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water and repeat the steaming process with clean water to remove any residue.
Storage
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool before storing.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a dry, safe place.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet faulty; temperature dial set to OFF. | Check power connection; try another outlet; turn temperature dial to a setting. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low; steam control set to OFF; calc buildup. | Fill water tank; set higher temperature; adjust steam control; descale the iron. |
| Water leaks from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; overfilled water tank; water inlet cover not closed properly. | Increase temperature; do not overfill; ensure cover is sealed. |
| Soleplate is dirty or sticky. | Residue from fabrics; starch buildup. | Clean soleplate with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. |
