Setup
1. Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the speaker and all accessories from the packaging. Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Charging the Speaker
The PBX-146 features a built-in rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided power cord to the DC 5V 1A input port on the speaker and plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
3. Identifying Controls and Ports

Familiarize yourself with the control panel located on the top of the speaker:
- MIC IN: 6.35mm input for the wired microphone.
- AUX IN: 3.5mm input for external audio sources.
- DC 5V 1A: Power input for charging.
- USB: USB port for music playback from a USB drive.
- TF: TF card slot for music playback from a TF card.
- MODE/TWS: Button to switch between input modes (Bluetooth, AUX, USB, TF) and activate True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing.
- Previous/Volume Down: Button to go to the previous track or decrease volume.
- Play/Pause: Button to play or pause audio.
- Next/Volume Up: Button to go to the next track or increase volume.
- MENU: Button for menu options (if applicable).
- POWER: Button to turn the speaker on or off.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button to turn the speaker on or off.
2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
- Search for available devices and select "QFX PBX-146" from the list.
- Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation sound, and the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing.
3. USB/TF Card Playback
Insert a USB drive or TF card into the respective port. The speaker will automatically switch to USB or TF mode and begin playing audio files. Use the Previous/Next buttons to navigate tracks and the Play/Pause button to control playback.
4. AUX Input
Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the AUX IN port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Press the MODE/TWS button to switch to AUX mode.
5. Microphone Use
Plug the wired microphone into the MIC IN port. Adjust the volume using the speaker's main volume controls or the microphone's built-in controls if available.
6. LED Party Lights
The speaker features built-in RGB LED circle party lights. These lights will activate automatically when the speaker is powered on. Specific controls for light modes may be available via the MENU button or a dedicated light button (refer to the display for options).

7. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function
To pair two PBX-146 speakers for True Wireless Stereo (TWS) sound:
- Ensure both speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not connected to any device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the MODE/TWS button until you hear a confirmation sound, indicating TWS pairing mode.
- The primary speaker will automatically search for and connect to the secondary speaker.
- Once connected, you will hear another confirmation sound. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in the Bluetooth Pairing section. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents. Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to charge the battery periodically to maintain its lifespan.
