1. Introduction

3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle and Depth Stop

  1. Loosen the auxiliary handle by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Slide the auxiliary handle over the chuck onto the collar of the drill.
  3. Insert the depth stop into the hole on the auxiliary handle.
  4. Adjust the auxiliary handle to a comfortable working position and tighten it by turning clockwise.

3.2 Inserting and Removing Drill Bits

  1. Ensure the drill is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Open the keyless chuck by turning the front sleeve counter-clockwise until the jaws are wide enough to insert the drill bit.
  3. Insert the drill bit fully into the chuck.
  4. Tighten the chuck by turning the front sleeve clockwise until the bit is securely clamped.
  5. To remove, reverse the process.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Selecting Drilling Mode

The EasyImpact 600 offers two drilling modes:

  • Drilling Mode (Drill Symbol): For drilling in wood, metal, plastic, and ceramics.
  • Hammer Drilling Mode (Hammer Symbol): For drilling in masonry, concrete, and stone.

Rotate the mode selector switch located on top of the drill to the desired symbol.

4.2 Starting and Stopping the Drill

  • To Start: Plug the drill into a suitable power outlet. Press the On/Off trigger.
  • For Continuous Operation: While holding the trigger, press the lock-on button. Release the trigger to stop continuous operation.
  • To Stop: Release the On/Off trigger. If the lock-on button is engaged, press and release the trigger to disengage it.

4.3 Drilling Techniques

  • General Drilling: Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the drill. Allow the drill bit to do the work.
  • Hammer Drilling: Use appropriate masonry drill bits. The hammer action assists in breaking up hard materials.
  • Depth Control: Adjust the depth stop to prevent drilling deeper than required.
