The TROTEC PAC 2600 X is equipped with several features designed for user comfort and efficiency:
- Optimal Cooling Power: Delivers 2.6 kW / 9,000 BTU/h, effectively cooling rooms up to 34 m2.
- Energy Efficiency Class A: Ensures powerful cooling while managing energy consumption.
- 3-in-1 Functionality: Offers cooling, ventilation, and dehumidification modes.
- Adjustable Airflow: Horizontally and vertically adjustable louvers allow for precise control of air direction.
- Integrated Air Purification Filter: Helps remove dust and pet hair from the air, contributing to a cleaner indoor environment.
- Intuitive Control Panel: Features an LED display for easy monitoring and control.
- Remote Control with 'Follow-Me' Function: Allows convenient operation from a distance and adjusts cooling based on the remote's location.
- Two Ventilation Levels: Choose between different fan speeds for customized airflow.
- Timer Function: Program the unit to turn on or off automatically.
5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper setup of your mobile air conditioner:
- Placement: Position the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the unit for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Exhaust Hose Assembly: Attach the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose and the hose adapter to the other end.
- Connecting to the Unit: Insert the hose connector end into the exhaust air outlet on the back of the air conditioner.
- Window Installation: Extend the hose to a window or door. For optimal cooling efficiency, it is highly recommended to use a window sealing kit (e.g., TROTEC AirLock) to prevent hot air from re-entering the room. Secure the hose adapter in the window opening.

Important Note for First Use: If the unit has been tilted during transport, allow it to stand upright for at least 12 hours before plugging it in and turning it on. This allows the refrigerant fluids to settle, similar to a refrigerator, ensuring proper operation and longevity.
6. Operating Instructions
The PAC 2600 X can be operated via its control panel or the included remote control.
Control Panel Overview

Image 3: Close-up of the TROTEC PAC 2600 X control panel, showing the LED display and touch buttons for Mode, Temperature adjustment, and Power.
- POWER Button (U): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- MODE Button: Press to cycle through the operating modes: Cool (cooling), Fan (ventilation), Dry (dehumidification).
- Temperature/Timer Adjustment Buttons (- / +): Use these buttons to adjust the desired temperature in Cool mode or set the timer duration.
- LED Display: Shows the set temperature, timer settings, and current operating mode.
Operating Modes
- Cooling Mode: Select 'Cool' mode. Use the - / + buttons to set your desired room temperature. The unit will cool until the set temperature is reached.
- Fan Mode: Select 'Fan' mode. The unit will circulate air without cooling. You can adjust the fan speed (low/high) using the remote control.
- Dehumidification Mode: Select 'Dry' mode. The unit will remove excess moisture from the air. In this mode, it is crucial to ensure continuous drainage of condensed water.
Remote Control
The remote control provides full functionality from a distance. It includes a 'Follow-Me' function, which uses a sensor in the remote to measure the temperature at its location and adjust the unit's operation accordingly, ensuring optimal comfort where you are.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.
Air Filter Cleaning
The integrated air filter should be cleaned regularly, especially if the unit is used frequently. A dirty filter can reduce cooling efficiency and airflow.
- Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter cover on the back of the unit.
- Remove the filter cover and carefully slide out the air filter.
- Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavy dirt, wash the filter gently with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose it to direct sunlight.
- Replace the filter cover.

Water Tank Emptying (Dehumidification Mode)
In dehumidification mode, condensed water collects in an internal tank. When the tank is full, the unit may stop operating. You can either manually empty the tank or set up continuous drainage.
- Manual Emptying: When the 'Water Full' indicator lights up, turn off the unit and carefully move it to a location where you can drain the water. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the unit and allow the water to flow into a suitable container. Replace the plug securely.
- Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation in dehumidification mode, connect a suitable drain hose (not included) to the continuous drainage outlet (usually located at the lower rear of the unit). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a floor drain or large receptacle.
General Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Before storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is completely empty and the unit is dry.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
