Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed from the brewer. Place the brewer on a stable, level surface. It is recommended to clean the water reservoir and drip tray before initial use.

1. Filling the Water Reservoir

The Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART features a large 78 oz removable water reservoir, allowing for multiple brews before refilling. To fill, simply lift the reservoir from the side of the brewer using its integrated handle. Remove the lid, fill with fresh, filtered water, and replace the lid. Carefully place the reservoir back onto the brewer, ensuring it is seated correctly.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART brewer.

1. Cleaning

The drip tray and K-Cup pod holder should be cleaned regularly. The drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Wipe down the exterior of the brewer with a damp cloth.

2. Descaling

Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in your brewer. The brewer has a descaling alert reminder. Follow the descaling procedure outlined in the official user guide to remove these deposits. This process helps maintain brew quality and machine lifespan.

3. Water Filter

The brewer may include an optional water filter. Replace the water filter as indicated by the brewer's reminder or every two months for best results. Refer to the official user guide for instructions on replacing the water filter.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART brewer, consider the following common solutions:

  • "Add Water" Error: If the brewer displays an "add water" error even when the reservoir is full, ensure the reservoir is properly seated. Sometimes, removing and re-inserting the reservoir can resolve this. Ensure the water level sensor is not obstructed.
  • Brewing Issues: If the brewer stops mid-brew or produces only hot water, check that the K-Cup pod is correctly inserted and punctured. Ensure the multi-stream needles are clear of any debris.
  • Coffee Grounds in Cup: This can occur if the K-Cup pod is not properly sealed or if the needles are partially clogged. Clean the K-Cup pod holder and needles according to the maintenance instructions.
  • Connectivity Issues: If the brewer is not connecting to Wi-Fi or the app, ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and the brewer is within range. You may need to reset the Wi-Fi settings via the brewer's menu.
  • Descaling Reminder: If the descaling light remains on after descaling, ensure the descaling process was completed correctly. You may need to repeat the process or consult the user guide for specific reset instructions.
