Setup and Installation
Choosing a Location
Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation. Do not place the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
Window Kit Installation
- Assemble the window slider kit to fit your window opening. The kit is adjustable for both horizontal and vertical windows.
- Connect the exhaust hose to the exhaust hose adapter.
- Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window plate adapter.
- Insert the window plate adapter into the opening of the window slider kit.
- Connect the exhaust hose to the exhaust port on the back of the air conditioner unit. Ensure a secure fit to prevent air leakage.
Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded 115 Volt, 60 Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and includes buttons for Power, Mode, Fan Speed, Timer, and Temperature adjustment.
Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides cooling. Set desired temperature using the up/down arrows.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Fan speed can be adjusted.
- Dry Mode (Dehumidify): Reduces humidity in the air.
Setting Temperature and Fan Speed
Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired temperature. Press the Fan Speed button to cycle through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds.
Timer Function
The timer allows you to set the unit to turn on or off automatically after a set period (1-24 hours).
- Press the Timer button.
- Use the + and - buttons to set the desired delay time.
- The timer will activate after a few seconds.
Remote Control
The remote control duplicates most functions of the control panel for convenient operation from a distance. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted.
Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air conditioner.
Cleaning the Air Filters
The air filters should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter panels on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 4).
- Remove the filters by gently pulling them out.
- Wash the filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Reinsert the dry filters into their respective slots.
Draining Accumulated Water
The unit has an internal water collection tank. When the tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an indicator. Drain the water as follows:
- Unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or bucket under the drainage port at the bottom rear of the unit.
- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
Seasonal Storage
If the unit will not be used for an extended period, perform the following steps:
- Drain all accumulated water.
- Clean the air filters.
- Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
- Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, covered to protect from dust.
