3. Setup

3.1 Charging Dock Placement

Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side of the dock and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug it into a wall outlet. The robot will automatically return to the dock to recharge when its battery is low.

3.2 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the robotic vacuum. Place the robot on the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the robot will show charging status.

3.3 Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Setup

Download the Greenworks SMARTg app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robotic vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control, scheduling, and access to advanced features.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

Press the power button on the robot or use the Greenworks SMARTg app to start a cleaning cycle. The robot will begin cleaning using its intelligent path planning.

  • Vacuuming along the wall: For thorough edge cleaning.

Additionally, you can switch between four suction modes: Quiet, Standard, Medium, and Powerful, to suit different cleaning needs and noise preferences.

4.4 Suction Power and Carpet Pressurization

4.5 Obstacle Avoidance and Low Profile Design

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robotic vacuum.

5.1 Emptying the Dust Bin

The GRV-1010 features a 580ml large dust bin. Empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle or when it is full. To empty, open the top cover, remove the dust bin, and discard the contents.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GRV-1010, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging dock is powered on and the robot's charging contacts are clean and properly aligned with the dock.
  • Robot stuck or moving erratically: Clear any obstacles around the robot. Clean the drive wheels and sensors.
