4. Setup and Installation

• Initial Operation: Allow the unit to run continuously until the desired water clarity is achieved. This may take several days depending on the severity of the water condition.
• Optimizing Lamp Life: Once your aquarium water is consistently clear, it is not necessary to operate the GKM24W 24/7. Running the unit for several hours a day (e.g., 8-12 hours) can help extend the life of the UV lamp while maintaining water clarity.
• LED Indicator: The control box features an LED light. A green light indicates normal operation. If the LED light is off, it may signal that the UV bulb needs replacement.
