5. Setup

5.1 Installing Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Attaching the Lanyard

Thread the thin end of the lanyard through the loop hole on the side of the oximeter. Then, thread the thicker end of the lanyard through the thin loop and pull to secure.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the device has batteries installed.
  2. Open the clamp of the oximeter.
  3. Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index, middle, or ring finger) into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring your nail is facing upwards towards the display.
  4. Release the clamp.
  5. Press the power button on the front panel to turn on the oximeter.
  6. Keep your hand still during the measurement. The readings for SpO2 and pulse rate will appear on the display within a few seconds.
  7. The device will automatically power off after approximately 8 seconds of inactivity.

6.2 Display Orientation

Press the power button briefly while the device is on to rotate the display orientation. This allows for convenient viewing from different angles.

7. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the oximeter with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol (70% ethanol or isopropanol). Do not immerse the device in water or any cleaning solution.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If not in use for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
  • Disposal: Dispose of the device and batteries according to local environmental regulations.
