4. Component Identification

5. Setup

5.1 Drone Assembly

  1. Unfold the drone arms carefully until they click into place.
  2. Attach the propeller guards by snapping them onto the drone's frame.
  3. If necessary, install propellers. Ensure that propeller 'A' is installed on motor 'A' and propeller 'B' on motor 'B'. Incorrect installation will prevent proper flight.

5.2 Battery Installation & Charging

  1. Insert a fully charged battery into the drone's battery compartment. Ensure it is securely seated.
  2. To charge the drone batteries, connect the USB charging cable to the battery and a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB adapter). The charging indicator will show charging status. Charging time is approximately 40-50 minutes per battery.

5.3 Remote Control Setup

  1. Install 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control's battery compartment.
  2. Attach the mobile phone holder to the remote control if you plan to use FPV.

5.4 App Installation & Connection (for FPV and advanced features)

  1. Scan the QR code in the manual or search for the designated app (e.g., 'KIDOMO FPV') in your smartphone's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Install the app on your smartphone.
  3. Turn on the drone and then your smartphone's Wi-Fi. Connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'KIDOMO-F02-XXXXXX').
  4. Open the app. You should see the live camera feed from the drone.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Pairing and Calibration

  1. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
  2. Turn on the drone. The LED lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the remote control.
  4. Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
  5. To calibrate the gyroscope, push both joysticks down and to the right simultaneously. The drone's lights will flash rapidly and then become solid, indicating successful calibration.

6.2 Takeoff and Landing

  • Manual Takeoff: Push both joysticks down and outwards to start the propellers. Then, gently push the left joystick (throttle) up to ascend.
  • One-Key Takeoff: Press the One-Key Takeoff/Landing button. The drone will automatically ascend and hover at a stable altitude.
  • Manual Landing: Gently pull the left joystick (throttle) down until the drone lands.
  • One-Key Landing: Press the One-Key Takeoff/Landing button. The drone will automatically descend and land.

6.3 Flight Controls and Special Features

  • Altitude Hold: The drone maintains its current altitude automatically, allowing for easier control of direction.
  • Headless Mode: When activated, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's front direction. Press the Headless Mode button to activate/deactivate.
  • Speed Modes: Press the Speed Switch button to cycle through low, medium, and high speeds. Recommended to start with low speed for beginners.
  • 360° Flip: Fly the drone to a height of at least 2 meters. Press the 360° Flip button, then push the right joystick in any direction to perform a flip.
  • Gesture Control: Use specific hand gestures in front of the camera to trigger photo or video recording (refer to app instructions for specific gestures).
  • Trajectory Flight: In the app, draw a flight path on your screen, and the drone will follow it automatically.
  • Gravity Sensor Control: Control the drone's flight direction by tilting your smartphone (requires app).

6.4 Camera Operation (Photo/Video)

  • Ensure the drone is connected to the app via Wi-Fi.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Propeller Replacement

If a propeller is damaged, replace it with a spare. Use the included screwdriver to remove the screw holding the damaged propeller. Install the new propeller, ensuring it is the correct 'A' or 'B' type for that motor, and secure it with the screw.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the drone with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners, as this may damage electronic components.

7.3 Storage

When not in use, store the drone in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries from both the drone and remote control if storing for extended periods.
