Preparation
- Ensure your vehicle is turned off.
- Gather the included pry tool and the new Fitcamx dash cam.
Installation Steps
- Step 1: Remove Original Cover: Carefully use the provided pry tool to detach the original mirror cover from your vehicle's rearview mirror assembly.
- Step 2: Identify and Disconnect Power Plug: Locate the power plugs behind the mirror assembly. There are typically two plugs: Plug A (rain fall sensor, often hidden) and Plug B. It is crucial to pull out the correct small plug, Plug A, which is for the rain fall sensor. Do NOT pull out Plug B.

Identify and disconnect Plug A, the correct plug for the rain fall sensor.
- Step 3: Connect New Dash Cam: Connect the included Y cable to the identified Plug A. Then, connect the other end of the Y cable to the Fitcamx dash cam.
- Step 4: Install Dash Cam and Replace Cover: Carefully route the cables to ensure they do not interfere with the installation. Insert the Fitcamx dash cam into the housing, ensuring it clicks securely into place. Reattach the remaining original cover pieces.

Operating Instructions
Connecting to Wi-Fi and App
- Download the official "FITCAMX" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Turn on your vehicle to power the dash cam.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (usually named "FITCAMX_XXXX"). The default password is "12345678".
- Open the FITCAMX app. You can now view live footage, browse recorded videos, download clips to your phone, and adjust settings.

Connect to the Fitcamx app via Wi-Fi to manage your dash cam.
Note:
If you experience issues with live preview or connection, temporarily turn off cellular data, Bluetooth, or VPN on your phone. This will not affect CarPlay functionality.
Loop Recording
The dash cam automatically records video in a continuous loop. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked footage will be overwritten by new recordings.

The dash cam features automatic loop recording to ensure continuous coverage.
- You can set the recording duration (e.g., 1/3/5 minutes) within the FITCAMX app.
- A 64GB SD card provides approximately 5 hours of recording, while a 128GB card offers about 10 hours.
Parking Mode
The G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or vibrations while your car is parked and automatically triggers recording, saving the event as protected footage.

Parking monitoring provides security for your vehicle when parked.
Important:
This feature does not provide 24-hour continuous recording unless an optional fuse box cable or OBD cable is installed. The standard parking mode is event-triggered.
Maintenance
SD Card Management
- Regularly format the SD card (at least once a month) through the dash cam's app settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
- Use a high-quality Class 10 or U3 microSD card from a reputable brand.
Cleaning
- Gently wipe the dash cam lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the area around the dash cam free from obstructions.
Temperature Considerations
The dash cam is designed to operate in temperatures from -20°C to 85°C (-4°F to 185°F). Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside this range for prolonged periods.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Fitcamx dash cam, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Dash Cam Not Powering On:
- Ensure the vehicle is turned on and the dash cam is correctly connected to the power source (Plug A).
- Check the vehicle's fuse box if necessary.
- Wi-Fi Connection Issues / No Live Preview:
- Ensure you are connected to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network ("FITCAMX_XXXX") and have entered the correct password ("12345678").
- Temporarily disable cellular data, Bluetooth, or VPN on your phone, as these can interfere with the Wi-Fi connection to the dash cam.
- Restart the dash cam and your phone.
- Footage Not Saving / Card Full Error:
- Format the SD card regularly through the app.
- Ensure the SD card is Class 10 or U3 and not corrupted. Try a different SD card if issues persist.
- Check if too many files are locked by the G-Sensor. Manually delete unnecessary locked files.
- Poor Video Quality:
- Clean the dash cam lens and your windshield.
- Ensure the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating.
- Check app settings to confirm 4K (2160P) resolution is selected.
- Parking Mode Not Working as Expected:
- Confirm the G-Sensor sensitivity settings in the app.
- Understand that the standard parking mode is event-triggered, not continuous 24-hour recording, unless an optional hardwire kit is installed.
